If we can beat a good Alabama State today, it's going to be quite the matchup between Troy and #1 Florida this weekend.

I'll be happy if we take just 1 game from Florida. A series win would be unbelievable, considering Florida just SWEPT #1 Miami...

GS/Mercer game moved from today to Wednesday

Having 2 games during Mardi Gras break seems like a good way to keep players out of trouble, especially for SELA since they’re so close to New Orleans

I was surprised too, when I moved here from Texas. ULM gets Mon-Wed of this week off and LDCC has Mon-Tues off. Not sure about the rest of the state.

That was my thought as well. I'm going to send a request in to work that we all get Mardi Gras as a holiday next year to see if I get laughed at.

Pretty good day yesterday. 5-1 as a league. Only loss was Little Rock at #17 Oklahoma State.

T6th, Bobcats with a 7-1 lead on Rice.

Warhawks score 19 in the 4th to win 23-5 over Southeastern Louisiana and complete the 2 game sweep. Game was ended after 5 innings. ULM now
7-1 so far on the year, though not sure the competition has been that strong, but I’ll take it.

Apps take down #24 Wake Forest, 11-9!

You know guys, I think Mississippi Valley State would be a great edition to the Sun Belt!

AState outscores MVSU 30-3 over the two game midweek series. Likely forever screwing up our stats and making us look a lot better than we actually are.

Delta Devils have a team batting average below .100 7 games in. That's really hard to do.

Bobcats win, down a (at least to date) bad Rice squad 9-2. Regardless of their current status, it's always great to take out the owls.

Good that we can postpone.

Tried to give it away too.

Took a 2 run lead into the 8th.
Bottom of the 8th gave up 3.
Top of the 9th put up 3 of our own including a 2 run bomb.
Bottom of the 9th struck out three of Wake's best hitters in a row.

I was in Lafayette and NOLA this week and learned a lot of schools in that area are out all week. Went to Lundi Gras parades in Lafayette and got a good look at the UL campus. It was really nice and larger than I expected. Talked some UL/TXST football too. Got a laugh out of the UL guy when I said we never beat them. People do call the schools UL in that area. Was in NOLA for Mardi Gras (thanks work). Traffic and crowds were a mess.

So a win against #24 Wake Forest and #23 Dallas Baptist... that's a good-week.
