GUESS AGAIN

Since when do Democrats abide by existing laws. Geez, I posted those two names in fun, but I guess it is so bad, some take something that ridiculous seriously.

In the spirit of the last sentence I offer this. Bernie get elected and then goes to his great reward, maybe burial next to Lenin, and then AOC, not old enough to be President, is passed over for Pelosi. Talk about a nightmare scenario!

which is a bigger gamble since regaining control of the house is hardly a guarantee...

Just figuring that if Bernie wins the Presidency then the Dems would keep the House. Don't think either will happen mercifully. There are just so many nightmare scenarios, it is exhausting. But just playing along with the ridiculous being taken seriously.

As for who he actually picks I bet it ends up being someone who aligns far less with him politically than anyone suspects. I also would not be stunned in the least if it's someone with a Latino background. Everyone has rightfully said young voters are his base, but I think Latino voters are the group people have been far underestimating in his movement. To be kind I don't think Trump has a lot of policies that endear him to Latino communities, and they are now the largest minority group in the country. Bernie's plan/path to victory has always been about engaging voters who have not participated in the process, which is obviously both risky and hard to track. This is also what Trump was able to do and one of the reasons polling was so off on him. Trump got people who felt completely left out of the political process by both sides engaged. His head-on attack of trade deals pushed by both the establishment of both parties that ravaged jobs was insanely successful. That's what won him Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, not that they are all a bunch of "deplorables" like the DNC leadership wants to spin it. Bernie is the only one who actually watched and internalized why Trump won.

Other than free stuff what policies is Sanders offering? Letting their cousins into this country without going through the same process as those here legally, probably isnt as big of a draw as you think.

So other than free stuff and letting all illegals have the same advantages as Americans...tell me what I'm missing? Hispanics is the quickest risers to the middle class in this country.

So I think just like white middle america...those middle america Hispanics are not going to vote for Sanders over Trump in large numbers. You think they are too dumb to realize....

Free stuff that cost 50-100 trillion, isnt free?

You don't have to think it's a good policy or anything other than "free stuff" but I'm betting M4A plays very well among the Hispanic community. Even those who have reached the middle class have many family and friends who have not and have very tenuous health care situations right now. What's the GOP plan to ensure affordable health care for everyone? Maybe I'm wrong about Trump's rhetoric negatively affecting perception among Hispanic communities, but I'm betting I'm not.

You'd think it would be a woman, and possibly a woman of color, but again Sanders is liable to do anything.

Nina Turner would be a disastrous choice and lead to a huge November loss (not as bad as 1972, 1980 or 1984 because the Democrats would still win California, New York, Illinois and a few other coastal states). Stacey Abrams would be a slightly better choice, but I don't think she'd help win any new states in particular.

I think a Latino woman would be also in consideration, so perhaps Catherine Cortez-Masto of Nevada. I don't think she endorsed anyone in Nevada prior to the caucus, but she and Bernie have worked together in the Senate for a few years now.

If he does pick a man, I actually think Beto O'Rourke might be a possibility.

Oh yeah, Beto would certainly appeal to my gun-owning independent self. 03-lmfao

Me and millions more. A Bern/Beto ticket would bring out every non-hard-core Dem in the country to vote against them.

That would be perfect for Bernie. I don’t think he really wants to be president. He’s to damn lazy. I think he knows he can’t actually win he just wants the money train to keep chugging along. Get the nomination and take it in. Lose and go home to another new house.

This is sarcasm, right?

Well, he did get kicked out of a commune for being lazy. I would think you would have to be pretty high on the scale to achieve that distinction. That and he’s been a senator for how long now and done exactly nothing of note.

Who cares who the Vp is. The Demons have made their bed and the other 2/3s who didn't vote for Commie B are probably shaking in their sandals. It'll be a communist or bite the bullet and vote for Trump or the third choice will be to stay home. It's not a good look in any scenario for the Demons.

I have some Demoncraps in my family and I wonder what their thinking is. I'll have to start asking. It should be fun. I won't even try to change their minds I ONLY want to see what's in theirs.

Any democrat that considers themselves "main stream" would be wise to stay away from #2 spot. It would make their re-election chances if currently holds house or senate seat very difficult. I think Ayanna Pressley the forgotten squad member is most likely. Picking her should help Bernie keep AOC feeling the Bern.

show me where it states anything about the VP....all I see is it would go to the house speaker due to the age restriction if not met....

Quote:Clause 5. No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been Fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The 12th amendment is pretty clear.

Quote:The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
