Our MBB chances of going to the big dance...according to TeamRankings.com
In the Sun Times this morning they listed all of the D1 schools and Notre Dame and their chances of making the NCAA tournament according to TR. Our Huskies came in at 6.7 per cent chance which was good enough for 4th best out of the 14 schools listed. Illinois 77.8...Loyola 19.7...Bradley 14.2 were the 3 schools listed with better odds.

I should add that is all of the Illinois D1 schools and Notre Dame.

As much as I don’t care for them, the Illinois projection is at least 22.1% too low. There’s probably a .1% chance they lose the rest of their games and miss the tourney. The Big Ten is going to have at least ten teams in the tourney and Illinois is nestled solidly in the middle of the conference.

Seems pretty accurate to me. Bradley back from the dead, they go up and down quite a bit.

Illinois is in the tournament, that percentage needs to be at least 98 or 99

Something that worries me, is this a valid worry? Nice to end the year with the last 2 games at home, and if NIU does not get a bye, they will be hosting a first round game which would be 3 home games in a row. Last year it seemed like NIU peaked late in the year and was also playing good basketball away from the Convo. I am concerned about the 2 or 3 straight homes games and then having to go to play away from home. I almost wish NIU ended on the road to keep their away from Convo game sharp, especially considering some recent road eggs they have laid.

MD—the only thing about playing three straight home games that should worry you is that we crapped the bed somewhere along the way. We are a game ahead of Ball State and play them at home. We have the tiebreaker on Buffalo and they still have to play both Akron and Bowling Green. If we are hosting a tournament game as the 5-6 seed that means we are not playing “sharp” no matter where the game is hosted.
