RE: Buckley on Hayward
Another fine write up from Mr. Buckley. Tre Hayward seems to be a really good dude. Proud of how he’s grown and really found himself on the field and academically.
Excerpt:
The mental aspect of the game has always intrigued Hayward. He said his growth as a player was due in large part to a better understanding of game film. A criminal justice major with a concentration on social psychology, he is arming himself with knowledge that he hopes one day will lead him to a career in sports psychology.
"A lot of mental health goes under the radar with college athletes and nobody really talks about it until its a big problem," he said. "I want to be the one that steps in before it becomes a problem."
