Interesting stat. We were 11-22 from 3, but only 10-42 from 2 point range. It seems our kids find the most unique ways to lose.

They had some really long bigs and blocked anything within 10 ft it seemed. So we could only score from outside. If we hadn't hit 50% last night... yikes.

But, they CAN hit 50% from 3.

This is simply a lost season. Surprised we have won as many as we have actually the more I think about it. I’m on to next year.

We started the year with an empty scholly, Dickens and Godwin are gone and Carver is graduating. So factoring in the sole HS recruit we landed, we still have 3 empty schollies. A real and sustainable program doesn't go into the summer with 3 empty schollies. No doubt we will sign somewhere between 1 and 3 graduates from muh portal. Most likely from a P5 that averages 1.3 minutes and .62 points per game. Color me not excited. Been let down too many times to get any hope up. The writing is on the wall.

I didn’t realize we started the year without a full team. How stupid is that?
If we do still have three slots even after getting the kid from NC onboard, that’s good news. Assuming we actually get some good players. We sure have some slots that need filling.

Obviously JJ was confident going into this season that he had assembled the personnel necessary to make a championship run so he saved a scholly for next year. What does that say about him??

Yesterday, I looked at the ODU site for offered basketball grants. They had two 6'9 players that had been offered. One player had offers from 4 A10 school's. The other player had offers from ODU and Texas Arlington.
This morning I looked at the board and the player that had offers from 4 A10 schools has been deleted. So much for recruiting top level talent.

We since BT usually keep one schoolie in your back pocket in case something falls into your lap and we have done well with these. JJ has had some quality walk ons, wouldn't mind a couple forwards right now like Nick and Steve.
