The Golden Flashes are in Ypsilanti this evening to take on Eastern Michigan. It could be a productive Tuesday if the Flashes can steal a road win and Ohio (or is it Ohio U?) can take down Central at the Convo.

After a seven game skid the Eagles have won four of their last five. Eastern's go to guys seem to be 7'0 senior Boubacar Toure of Senegal and Ypsilanti product Ty Groce. The 6'8 Groce leads EMU in scoring with 11 points. He is only behind Toure in the rebounding category. Both players recorded double doubles in their win over Central a week ago.

There is a little more size, or at least length, to go along with these two. Thomas Binelli (6'10 junior) of Bologna Italy and Jalen King (6'10 junior) from Washington State also see consistent playing time in the EMU rotation.

This is the first time since the 1975 - 1976 season that Eastern will play without James Thompson IV.

James is loading up on kimchi and waiting on a phone calls.

I am concerned about this game. Eastern is always difficult at home and with the zone. We will need to continue our hot shooting. Need Roberts to have a good game and I think he will.

This team has more shot clock violations or near violations than any team I can remember.

Man, I hate the EMU game every year. Just not enjoyable basketball to watch.

Is it EMU or is it Kent? Is EMU that “good” that they can force a style of play on Kent State?

EMU is not good and they've honestly not looked good tonight. We just have zero idea how to game plan for their zone. This game has been utterly unwatchable. Even when it was close it was just because EMU kept having unforced turnovers and missing free throws.

This is the most bi-polar basketball team I have ever followed.

and the roller coaster ride continues. Shoot lights out on Sat, can't throw it in the ocean the next game.

I like the play where two guards pass it back and forth on one side of the arc until the shot clocks running low then take a deep three. Amazing EMU's zone has managed to contain it.

Maybe one of those guards should be “benched” for 2 minutes and eight seconds in the next game....to send a message.

How could this be the same team we saw Saturday. They sure play some boring games.

I would play zone against Kent all the time.

I’m done coming to games this year.

I can handle losing. I can even handle scoring 49 points.

But the continuous technical fouls by seniors is an embarrassment. I just cannot support that.
