UC is 6-1 vs those teams
UH Is 4-4 vs from the top 6

The difference is UC Is 5-3 vs the rest and Houston is 7-0

In the league uc is playing like the best team in terms of wins against the top but it’s those dreadful losses to UConn, Tulane and UCF that kill us.

I mean we were a Q1 loss so it's kind of a stretch to call us "dreadful" and lump us in with Tulane and UCF.

There's a chance we finish in the top 6 as well

I think that makes sense. The game was close, and UC won at home. They only dropped a spot because Indiana beat Penn St and passed them. Otherwise, both teams holding steady feels about right.

I'm not concerned about our NET ranking at all unless it starts dropping to the 60s or more. More worried about where our opponents fall under the quadrant system.

Would be good for the conference though if we are in the Top 50. Makes any game over us in Ft Worth a Q1 game.

North Carolina making fun of Kansas about education. Priceless.

Looking at the Forbes list of best colleges...

Yikes. Lots of NC... not much Kansas. 260 for the flagship???

#45 - UNC (NC)
#48 - Davidson College (NC)
#56 - Wake Forest (NC)

All universities suck now. They're just Liberal cults for safe spaces. You're better off going online and becoming an entrepreneur. College the traditional way is a waste of time.

Yeah, who needs STEM when you can become an influencer or start a Shopify site? /s

The NET is such garbage. It’s set up to help prop up power conferences. That shouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Kansas State is 9-18 with 2 conference wins (and it’s best two non conference wins are Tulsa and UNLV at home) and they are one spot away from being in the top 100. Winning an losing doesn’t appear to matter very much with NET.

The really insidious way it helps those power conferences is when you prop up the back half of the conference via strength of conference opponents, it gives all of the conference a bunch of artificially inflated Q1 and Q2 game opportunities. The NET is a shell game for getting power conferences more teams in and higher seed lines.

Did Gardner always have the ability to face up and hit 18ft jumpers, or did he add that wrinkle this year? Always thought he only scored in the paint.

Reminded me a lot of PJ Washington in that clip

Context be damned lets hurl arbitrary academic rankings at each other.... A) no one uses Forbes, I didn't even know they released a ranking. B) at least include the parameters: "Whether a school is in the Top 10 or near the bottom of the list, these 650 count as the best in the country. We include just 15% of the 4,300 degree-granting postsecondary institutions in the U.S., so appearing here at all is an indication that a school meets a high standard."

Being in the top 15% in the country isn't bad.

Also, the difference from one spot to the next is miniscule.
