We all know rankings will be all over the place for first several weeks, but holy cow.....the Perfect Game rankings are mind boggling. Their #1 and #2 (Louisville and Vandy) both went 1-2 and they kept them at #1 & 2. The team that beat their preseason and current number #1 team moved up 2 spots from #18 to #16. The rest of the poll is also practically unchanged. These people are idiots.

Schedule is inexcusable. Forget being ranked, we’ll have trouble getting our RPI high enough for an at-large bid. Berry had better get that auto bid!

We are about to lose to a team that would finish about last in the SWAC. Ready to **** can this thread less than 2 weeks into the season.

And in fairness, we could be 16-0 and a bad team.

Don’t give up four runs on one hit (a lead off single) in the second and its not close. Walks and hit batters will kill you.

Not sure whether it's a good thing or a bad thing but last night makes 3 straight one-run wins over mediocre at best teams. Good thing is we won all 3 but the bad part is we should've never let the games be that close. Regardless, we are 4-0 which is all that matters. On to a chilly weekend where we host a UCA team that lost 2 of 3 at home to Missouri St to start the season and they host Memphis today.

Baseball is a long season and full of hot/cold streaks. I usually don't get too worked up one way or another. Hopefully we stay competitive all season and then get hot when it counts.

A win is a win. They won't go back and look at how close it was, just whether it was a win or loss. I'll take ugly wins over a loss any day.

100% agreed. And these close games now should prepare them for later on when it happens again

I can assure you, if we are 16-0 we will be ranked. But yes, the schedule is weak.

We'd have a midweek win over State and Ole Miss and that's about it. We may be getting votes, but I still don't think we'd be in there. I hope you're right, not that we'll ever be 16-0.
