Iso Offense
Just finished watching a replay of the Drexel game.

I am seeing a whole lot of offensive possessions where three of our players stand (and I mean stand) on one side out past the three-point line. The other two players, and Knight is normally one of them, play two-on-two. And I'm afraid it's not John Stockton/Karl Malone pick-and-roll stuff either.

It kinda works when we have Knight though a poster in the Drexel thread astutely pointed out that it can Knight in foul trouble and requires him to start his possessions pretty far from the basket.

OTOH, we can have some ugly stretches when our players can't initiate their own offense.

This is probably a more modern way of playing college basketball. I can't say I'm a fan.

RE: Iso Offense
I think the reality is that nobody can really cover Nate without fouling him. He's a highly unusual player in our league. The big kid from Wilmington was pretty effective until he got in foul trouble.

Can't run that next year.

Unfortunately, a byproduct of having such a uniquely talented player as Nate is that his teammates enjoy watching him as much as we do.

Unfortunately, our guards don't move without the ball very well. They don't look to get open for mid range jump shots. Aside from Barnes and Loewe occasionally, they have shown no capacity to create their own shots. No wonder they stand around.
