Charge/Block calls against Precious....
Go back and watch the plays the game before were Precious was whistled for a charge on his drives.

He literally went around the defender who then flopped with no contact and Precious was called for a charge resulting in many of his turnovers.

Contrast that to the Cumberland play. Smh

Terribly officiated game. But had we made our free throws and blocked out in the last minutes of regulation we would have won.

RE: Charge/Block calls against Precious....
But from the game in its entirety, our kids made enough rebounds and made enough free throws that absent a tremendously blown call we still should have won. Had their been an egregiously bad call late benefiting us, it is fair for Cincy to say they still did enough in spite of their errors.

As they all whined after the two football games

Every season there is a game like this, where you get purely home courted. Not fan venting home courted, actual bad calls.

It is heightened because that road win makes us 18-6 and back in position to make the NCAA tourney. Instead we are not at this moment

I think with the obvious bad call on Lester , the no call on Malco at the end was just as bad, maybe worse considering what the result of that play was.

The LQ call was bad, but honestly could go either way. The no call on Malco was horrible and flat out cost us the game. That one was inexcusable and even the announce crew, well one of them at least, pointed out just how bad it was.

This is all well and good to discuss, but you can't do anything about officiating. We had the game in the bag and missed free throws and turned the ball over. Those we could've done something about. It is what it is. If you want to make sure you win a fight, knock the guy out. Don't leave it in the hands of the judges.

I dont think he was talking about the last play - Vogt wasnt involved - but a play a possession or two earlier when there was significant contact between ALo & Vogt. We got the rebound & got fouled, making 1 of the 2 FTs to go up 2.

The bad calls are upsetting to some fans enough that they don’t want to go to games where the officials decide who wins.

Yep

+2

We're lacking that one ball-handling guard/small forward that can consistently take it to the hole in crunch time and get us a score...probably accounts for 3 or 4 of our losses this year.

If somebody can step up to this role prior to the conference tourney, we've got a chance for a Tournament bid.

The officials should have to be accountable to someone over things like that. It's not fair to these kids who play their hearts out for a win and then get shafted by homer referees. If they are consistent on both ends of the floor is about all anyone can ask for. It seems it's always one referee out of the three that makes these sort of calls. I don't see how they sleep at night.

That was a lame excuse by the ref. It's BAILING OUT the Cincinnati player by NOT calling the foul, as was Cumberland totally running over Lester NO CALL and Vogt colliding with Malcolm and pushing him out of bounds NO CALL.

Mike Stephens was the ref.
