I wish he could stay healthy and out of foul trouble.

Love Dandridge, Tigers are a a lot better with him in there right now. Long arms, great defensive player. Freshmen typically foul a lot...he's a good one, hope he stays healthy.

RE: Dandridge Hands
He was disruptive defensively. He will get better at outlet passes. If he holds on to that ball....

Am I seeing something different? Dandridge is an okay player right now and is needed. But he needs to learn how to play better at this level.

He makes bad passes, when he could just hold on to the ball and allow a guard to come to him to get it. He makes fouls sometimes at bad moments. All the traits of a freshman that hasn't played much because of injury.

I like him for being a Tigers player and native Memphian, but I will not overlook the flaws, that need to be corrected.

He's a freshman that hasn't played that much ball...sat out a lot his senior yr in HS too. His length and presence inside is so needed.....if you can't see how he is a positive, you are definitely seeing something different. And he got hammered on that one bad turnover pass that they didn't call......

He has great instincts, a great feel for the game, but also gets lost and out of position on defense a lot, and hasn't learned to take care of the ball properly yet.

By the time he is done, he will be a truly great Tiger. At some point it will all come together and he is going to blow up.

I agree the jury is still out on Malcolm, lot of boneheaded plays. He has the size and toughness but 22 minutes and 2 rebounds won't work

Agreed. I love his busy hands. He does a lot of stuff out there that doesn't show up on a stat sheet. If/when he ever develops offensively he'll be an even greater asset.

I saw a lot of busy hands last night from a couple of other players. Our defense, while not as consistent as we'd like, kept us in that game. Unfortunately, as in too many other games this year, our offense struggles down the stretch.

I'm still confused as to why Boogie was on the bench for so much of the 2nd half. After checking the box score he had 31 minutes, still seems like he should have had 40 given it was a 45 minute game. And while Tyler had 11 points he had ZERO assists while running the point. That's unacceptable IMO.

RE: Dandridge Hands
If only he would jack up 3s whenever he touched the ball on the perimeter. Penny would fall in love with him and start running plays just for him to jack up more 3s. Penny seems to love nothing more than bigs who jack 3s (even if they miss almost all of them) and little bitty tiny guards driving to the basket against trees and slamming the ball on the underside of the rim.

He's good on the hi-lo pass too !! We need that more on these zones ... Especially against the smaller lineups.

I was wondering the same thing during the game.

M.D. also made some great passes in the game. He will come along. Can't coach size and strength like he has. Freshmen are going to have flaws. Malcolm has been incapacitated and just now getting his stamina up so he can stay in games longer. He will be a monster if he can stay healthy.

Agree, he has a lot of "unteachables"...high energy, high instinct, seems to have a knack for making things happen. I see him as a big that is not afraid to mix it up on the floor if that is needed. He had several sort of TO's last night when he created a steal or was just more active than the other guy but either then stepped or slid out of bounds. I'm not faulting him for that. His passing is above average and the OP mentions his hands...for a big, they are soft and active. Huge upside.

Wish MD got the latitude the other local players get. He's got talent & will develop with floor time. Best passer we have to get the ball low to PA. Needs more opportunities.
