Any atty that doesn't have someone at their table searching social media on potential jury members in a case like this should be disbarred. That's crazy and Stone will have a better case of getting this turned over on appeal for ineffective counsel.

If a potential juror lies to get on the jury...is there any punishment for that?

Not that I expect there is enough evidence in this case to warrant anything more than an appeal.

Yes. She signed forms with specific questions. It's out there if you look.

Cernovich is streaming right now, announcing that he is filing a lawsuit to get the questionnaires. We only know about this woman because she came forward to CNN. She may actually be the LEAST biased, who knows?

And CNN could have uncovered this shite. Cernovich has exposed more than CNN, and CNN has KFILE -- a team of people that dig into social media.

Where's the ACLU? Where's Van Jones? Where is Ivanka and Jared? I guess they only care about "criminal justice reform" when it's democrats getting screwed over.

This is scary.

Roger Stone is a mess for a whole bunch of reasons and I don’t really care what happens to him. But this verdict needs to be thrown out. If it’s not, Trump should pardon him, and then keep talking about it at his rallies/speeches/Twitter, etc.

So she was posting that Trump was colluding with the Russians although there was no evidence of this. this and all the labeling including labeling Trump supporters, apparently all of them, as racist makes one call this lady's thinking into question. Does not strike me as being impartial.

Looking at some of the transcripts before Tomeka Hart was picked as a juror, it appears she claimed she paid very little attention to the relevant news. Her numerous political posts on social media contradicts that. I think she misled the court at a minimum. And of course, since she is a lawyer, maybe some disciplinary action might be warranted if appropriate evidence turns up that she in fact lied to the court.

She has a JD. Who knows if she passed the bar. Undergrad was an education major. Reading things she has written and said I'm embarrassed she has a degree from memphis. She is functionally literate I suppose but I wouldn't trust her to read and follow directions on a shampoo bottle.

Astonishing. I knew some dumb fricks that got into law school at Memphis....some really brilliant people too. The bottom must be pretty damn low.

I suspect...............she maybe, just maybe, wasn't as impartial as you might want a jury member to be, ideally.

There is zero reason she should not have been booted for cause in voir dire.

I explained this to a very far left-wing (no-lawyer) friend of mine this morning, and referred him to a couple of sites to back up my explanation. His response, "Obvious mistrial." I congratulated him on his objectivity.

Appointing Jeff Sessions as Attorney General was the worst move Trump made. I understand the motivation--it was Sessions's dream job, and he was the first Washington insider to support Trump. But Sessions was a senate insider. The senate is a bit of an old boy club that still operates with some sense of propriety. That in no way prepared him for the junkyard dog tactics of the deep state. Barr is a deep state insider. He knows where the skeletons are buried. That scares the bejeezus out of the democrats and the bureaucrats.

The whole fiasco stinks and is a gross perversion of justice. Compare what they wish to do to Stone to what they did to Weiner, 22 months, not all served, for being a sexual predator of underage girls. Compare it to what happened to Clapper and Brennan for lying on national TV. Nothing. Why, because they are buddied up and connected to prominent democrats. The democrats are the living embodiment of Satan and all that is evil. While evil is certainly not confined to them alone I firmly believe that each and every one of them has evil in them.

You can kill someone and receive less time.

Except maybe — *Maybe* — in death-penalty cases, public defenders and most other court-appointed counsel do not have the time or the resources (or anything close to it) to perform that kind of research on each and every member of the jury pool. And — again, possible exception for capital cases — they don’t have assistants or a “staff” with the time to do it for them. Putting that sort of obligation on them is just not real.

Now, I don’t believe Roger Stone was relying one court-appointed counsel. Maybe there should be a different rule for private counsel, although it’s hard to see how such a rule would be applied.

Great, yet another fine Memphian makes the entire city look foolish, but only in certain eyes. Fully 60% of the city thinks she is a fine woman simply because she looks like them.

you have decent lefties to communicate with....that's rare these days....

you, me, and many others have always agreed why JS was his biggest misstep....nobody is perfect out of the gate....more specifically, a non-politician putting faith in one that is willing to drain the swamp, Ja?!

Trump has a certain naivete.....he's learned quite a bit over the past three....
