Always great to be mentioned in USA Today.

Time for plan numero dos. Mr. Malone should give Keener a call and see if there are any openings for door-to-door insurance salesmen at Keener’s company because Chris won’t be coaching again, ever.

Never say never. Sarkisian was drunk during practice and allegedly drunk during the ASU game while at USC. And now he is your coach.
Yeah lol. There have been lots of cases of coaches doing worse things, fired, & rightly or wrongly, given other chances. As I recall, Bobby Petrino, when he was at Arkansas at 50+ (married), was secretly banging some 20 some yr old former Arkansas female athlete. As I recall he got in a motorcycle wreck with her, claimed he was riding alone (don't know if impaired or lied to the police or not), was fired, and ended up being hired by WKU, then Louisville again, and just this past season got hired by MO St in the MVFC. BTW, wonder if he gets them turned around?

Hugh Freeze, while at Ole Miss, on top of numerous recruiting and academic violations, was caught using an escort service, and fired. And now he's at Liberty.

I'm sure there are plenty of other examples.

Yeah but those guys were successful head coaches- the guy at Chattanooga was an O Line coach - big difference. What’s the upside to someone giving him a second chance? He’s a dime a dozen.

I agree, and moreover, recruits aren't generally turned off by recruiting/marital/alcohol scandals. This is a totally different beast.

Not sure there is another college with such a disparity between record and expectations. Maybe Georgia

My mistake. I didn't realize that you have distanced yourself from the Longhorns.

Very interesting development. He was a offensive Grad Assistant at Texas.

Edit: assistant WR coach at Texas?

Quote:James Madison (FCS – VA): Per source, James Madison is planning to hire John Miller as their running backs coach. Miller is a JMU grad that played on the 2016 national championship team and spent last season on the Texas staff in an offensive quality control role.

Welcome Home John!

He'll certainly have a nice stable of backs to make him look good.

Would be cool to see some of them become dual threats on the field this year. Could be Cig’s plan with this hire.

His touchdown at North Dakota State may be my all time favorite touchdown. Third and 10 I believe. Clinging to a 3 point lead in that dome. The shot on TV of the JMU faithful there crammed near that goal line is locked in my memory.

Favorite TDs?

03-idea

In no specific order.....

- Hines 4th an 1 TD versus Furman (Dukaholic & I had the longest man hug)
- Cortez Thompson punt return versus UD (One of many Key plays in 2004)
- McGee last second punt return at RU (most streamers at a road game except for 2004 National Championship)

We've had some great TDs through the years.

Whatever happened to Dukaholic. He and SuperFan were mega zealots back in the day. Do either even occasionally post?

He's around and he was in Frisco for at least a couple of the games. I think he was living up in Michigan at least for a bit. Don't think he posts on the boards though.
