Very balanced team that has played much better of late. Dangerous when hitting 3s (#2 CUSA 3s made/g)…in the 3 games prior to MTSU (2-1 with a close loss to UTSA) Rice was 46-91 3s. Without Ako Adams, 7-21 vs MTSU. Excellent ball-handling (#1 CUSA A/TO, A/g). However, porous on defense (#14 CUSA FG%-defense) and weak inside (# 12 CUSA RB margin). Josh Parrish #1 CUSA FG%.

OT - but vcu is getting rolled by mason at the stu.

Rice is playing better lately, could be a tough road trip.

I was thinking the same thing. VCU has its work cut out now to make the dance.

They could still make it, especially if they beat Dayton, but they definitely don't want to get punked by another Q3/4 team. I bet Virginia still gets in unless they completely poop themselves down the stretch, and at least one school (Radford, Liberty, NSU) will win their conference tournament), but it's definitely not going to be the state's signature NCAAs.

Yeah they’ll probably find their way in. I could see them beating Dayton next week at home. Big game this weekend at Richmond though. I think UR might have the better team if they could stay healthy. They just play a better brand of ball and are really balanced. VCU might be more explosive and athletic but Richmond is super skilled. Could go either way. Should be a close game. I also wouldn’t be surprised if 3 or 4 teams from Virginia still got in.

Rice should be embarrassed by their crowd - maybe 300.

It’s hard to believe Evans played in this gym. Great recruiting by Rhoades.

I say we need to start Kalu and let him play until he fouls out! Maybe he will get embarrassed and be more aware of stupid fouls or he gets more playing time and is more productive?
