Montero was the offensive hero vs. Toledo. Groce was a beast in Mt. Pleasant. James great today and Binelli, Spottsvile and Morgan have had some nice runs at times. Morgan's hand switching reverse layup today was NBA quality and he did a credible job playing the 3 position. It's kind of nice not having to rely on just three guys, JT4, Minnie and Jackson to score the ball.

We do have one problem. As many of you have pointed out earlier, our team effectiveness drops like a rock when Toure heads to the bench, he is clearly our MVP as we have no adequate alternative.

I've been cold to him since he arrived but the guy just obliterated Knapke in the Toledo game, he is obviously far stronger and more athletic than the successful four year MAC center. I knew he had hops because we nearly always win the opening jump ball. Yet today after we threw two poor alley-oop passes, Spottsville threw another high one and while I winced, Boubocar went up, elbows over the rim and dunked the ball! My jaw dropped. JT4 may be doing well in Italy but honestly Toure has, in my opinion, far more pro potential.

You wanna beat EMU? Get Toure in foul trouble and reduce his minutes.

Yep that’s why I said before the season started that Toure is the MACs best center. It’s really not even close.....it would serve EMU well to have Toure be the first option on offense. We should keep throwing the ball to Toure and let him attack the rim or kick outside if a double team comes and with his stellar play the double team is coming. Just need the shooters cocked and loaded for the 3 ball.

Luckey you were dead on about Toure. Last year he was right player at the wrong time, he pushed JT4 to the wing on the zone where he suffered due to his lack of foot speed. Let's also say we did not have an offensive genius who could design an offense utilizing the twin towers we had. Murphy, however, saw his value just unfortunately did not know how to use it.

I blamed Boubocar for many of our ills last season and when you proclaimed his excellence this year, I blew you off. I was dead wrong. You are correct, no MAC center has the physical tools that Toure has, it is not in your words, even close. We will be in any conference game we play this year as long as he is not on the bench in foul trouble.
