Wichita vs Houston
Wichita State is getting blown out, down 30 with 8 minutes to go. The way this game is going, they are headed for their own 40-pt beat down in Houston.

This is a strange year! Apparently games like this can happen to anyone.

Houston pounds Wichita
UConn beats Cincinnati.

We picked the wrong weekend to get upset.

This conference race is still wide open. There is no favorite - anyone can lose.

I guess GM can’t coach either.

That want happen because we have to many idiot wannabe coaches on this board.I wonder why they know so much more than our coaches. With everything that has happened with players not being able to play because of sickness, injuries and loosing the #1 recruit in the nation. I am surprised we haven't lost more than we have. All you wannabe coaches need to relax and go on vacation from this board.

It's a shame really. UH has no more talent on the floor than we have - even with DJ hurt. Yet they are playing inspired, swarming D, they space well on offense with very little dribbling & they take open shots when the shooters are set. Our team could learn something from UH.

But they lost their 3 best players from last year so Sampson should have an excuse if he loses to USF.

‘I can’t get anything from them’: Marshall says there’s a disconnect with WSU players

Quote:A fractured locker room and a disconnect between the players and the coaching staff seem to be the culprits of Wichita State’s tailspin following a 15-1 start to the season.

Talent...

Well if you are talking height, build, running and jumping....You are right they absolutely do not have more talent. But they have much more offensive skill than we do.

Precious has very little offensive SKILL
Boogie is growing but still is not a good 1-on-1 player
DJ was decent but mentally he was not ready to carry the load.
Tyler is streaky and too small to be counted on.
Alo is a below average 1-on-1 player
Malcolm doesn't appear like he scan score 1-on-1
Lester struggles with 1-on-1 play as well.
Baugh cant beat his man off the dribble because he cant shoot.

Offensive skill will come with time and experience...While the physical traits aren't going to greatly improve.
