5 More Losses on the Schedule
Four more in the regular season and one in the conference tournament. The wheels have completely fallen off. The worst thing about a loss like today is that we know it’s not a fluke

We will be lucky to win two of @Cincy @Uconn @SMU @Houston and WSU and Houston at home. I see a few of these road games getting ugly

We had won three in a row coming into today. It was a really bad loss but no reason to get this dramatic and claim the wheels are falling off...

If we have to rely on Maurice as our big, then the season is over...

This is unfortunately true. I pull for him every time he is on the court but just is not equipped to be a center at the high D1 level.

If we have to rely on anyone other than Precious then our season is over.

Without Precious, there is no one to rebound the basketball. Alex Lomax is our 2nd leading rebounder... A Lomax.

James Wiseman has more offensive rebounds than Isaiah Maurice, as many as Malcolm Dandridge, and only 2 fewer than Lance Thomas. That’s pitiful.

I do not understand the Maurice hate on here. He was 3-4 FGs, 8 points in 13 mins. yesterday.

When he is out there he seems like he would rather be fishing.

Then you didnt watch the game. His rebound rate was awful, they repeatedly got offensive rebounds in his area and USF hunted him in Defense - they missed maybe 1 shot with him as primary defender.

All three of 2 of those 3 FGs were uncontested layups off dump off passes created by a driving guard

RE: 5 More Losses on the Schedule
Our bigs sit out on the arc and hope the ball is kicked out to them, leaving no one underneath to rebound; and given our erratic 3pt shooting, that means our possessions are usually 1 shot opportunities.

Our offensive system makes no sense for this team.

When Lance and Precious both where in the game it seemed like they were arguing on who should go into the post. Many times we had 5 guys at the arc because of that.

It is so freaking stupid. I absolutely HATE this perimeter basketball where no one wants to do anything but stand at the 3 line and jack em up.

I know Lance had 2 good games, but if you are depending on Lance making 3s to win ball games, you are losing a lot of ball games.

We seem more equipped, when Precious and Lance are healthy, to play more of a UCLA Hi-Lo offense than this Golden State-styled motion offense.

Our offensive sets are bad and don't generate good looks. We don't put precious in good positions and we don't get him the ball even if he does get position.

We are a trainwreck on offense.

Everything you need to know about his game: Alo (I think) drove into the lane and dished to a wide open maurice on the block, who gathered the ball and went up and clutched ands went under the rim and shot a reverse layup while being defended by a smaller player that was out of position.

He made the shot, but wtf man. GO UP STRONG

RE: 5 More Losses on the Schedule
Winning is hard when most of your star talent and even bench help is injured.

Penny is playing the hand he has been dealt. This is not his fault nor is it the players.

The injuries following Wiseman quitting, have piled up on us like a NBA roster would see. The difference is we can't go out and sign players to 10-day contracts for help.

Plus we're the youngest team and staff in college basketball.

There's not much more that can be said.

Well, I did watch the game. And again, do not understand the hate. I have watched plenty of games where i was frustrated with his play. But yesterday, he was not the problem. I would even go so far as to say he gave us 13 quality mins. Rebounding was an issue FOR THE WHOLE TEAM yesterday. We missed precious and MD. I will also say. The final mins when we were going with a 5 guard lineup does not make sense. We should have gone with maurice. He was the only non-injured Big we had at that time.
But, we can agree to disagree. I guess.
