Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky leave the OVC with Central Arkansas to the ASun, the Asun recognized their potential and is being aggressive, C-USA is asleep at the wheel

ASun is one of the conferences actually improving. They could be as good as the CAA in a few years. That said, I want nothing to do with them. CUSA is way better IMO.

It's much easier to add teams than to dispose of them.

RE: Death of MEAC starts another round of dominos?
a new FBS WAC and a FBS ASun IMO screams "when the P5 leave FBS will look like this"

AAC minus Cincinnati. Houston, USF and UCF
CUSA in some arrangement
SunBelt in some arrangement
MWC
new WAC
new ASun
some independents Army, Liberty, UMass, UConn
and the MAC
this would lead to NCAA D1 football playoffs like all other divisions, the P5 leaves to their own universe

Why is everyone so convinced the P5 is gonna leave FBS? They literally get every change they request.

What exactly do you want them to do? It is already way too big.

I saw this on Twitter;
The Rory
@basketball_rory

Here is today's fun internet rumor seen on multiple message boards - sources - ODU and Charlotte will join the A10 in 2023-24 in all sports but football where they would join a 'scheduling alliance' with Liberty, UMass, UConn & Army. #ODU #A10MBB #UNCC #A10Talk #jonrothstein

IMO: doubtful but interesting

Yes for Hoops and other sports.
Yes for football. FIll in the rest of the schedule with an FCS, a couple of MAC/CUSA/SunBelt and a couple of ACC schools and ECU

This would be ideal. Wish it came from somewhere other than an Internet personality known as ghostofclt. Pretty sure Lil Woody burned the A10 bridge though my guy has been out of the A10 office for awhile.

If it makes you feel better the that guys Twitter linked to a poster on VCU’s message board called “AlienAiden” who posted before ghostofclt did. Who knows if it’s the same rumor being passed around or if ghostofclt has his own sources.

clt says you should be more respectful to ghostofclt, considering you are an Internet personality known as EverRespect.

I don't think anyone on here is saying that all religious based institutions and universities are garbage. Just specifically Liberty.

This same rumor has been making the rounds since December from sources much closer to Hampton Blvd.

It doesn't make it fact, but I believe the people who told the person who told me believe it could/will happen.

Hope it happens. We need to wind up in a conference with ECU and Temple. If the AAC gets decimated, maybe that can happen. There’d be no reason to reject realignment talk any longer. The entire G5 remnants should all realign then.
