Agreed. Our leadership decided to take a risk and go to the Express team in the now folded league. I hope the XFL makes it and we can be a team in the next round of expansion.

We didn't have a choice.

XFL went with pro markets. 7/8 teams are in NFL cities, and the other just lost their team to Los Angeles a few years ago.

I think if the XFL has 3 good seasons it will expand to at least 12 teams.Let's see if they stay with NFL markets.I think Memphis and San Antonio and a few other non-NFL cities will eventually get in provided the league survives it's first few years.

They should look to partner with the NFL at some point. People aren't going to be interested in seeing the Dallas Renegades. But, if they were the Dallas Cowboys (B-team/farm team), then interest would skyrocket.

That's would did the AAF in last year. That league thought it was going to get some NFL money as a developmental league to sustain it. When the NFL and Players Association said no, that was all she wrote. I think the XFL has much more solid investors than the old AAF did.

Well I guess I will have to disagree. The World FB league had a chance because it went head to head against the NFL. The SOUTHMEN even signed Cszonka--Kick--Warfield--or 2 anyway---LOL--memory getting bad--from the champ Dolphins. I dont think admitting that you are an inferior league-- and admitting it to the country is good marketing. The NCAA is already a farm/developmental league. They need to go after the best players in College. The N-o F-air L-eague needs to be slapped back a notch or 2---the WFL got Herschel by going after him---he spurned the mighty NFL. They need to act as if they belong.

Enjoy the XFL while it lasts, as it won't be around for long because there's just too much competition from other professional and college sports to keep the public's $$$$ attention.

I disagree. Especially if they decide to start the season a couple of weeks later next year. Going right back to football the week after the Super Bowl, doesn't give the public enough time to really miss the sport.

College football goes 8 months between seasons, the NFL is somewhat close. There is a big enough void to fill. Baseball or the NBA aren't going to drown out football dollars for the right setup.
