By double digits too at Tulsa. College basketball is weird.

AAC standings:
1. Houston 8-2
1. Cincy 8-2
3. Tulsa 7-2
4. Memphis 6-3
4. SMU 6-3
6. Wichita State 5-4

Getting in the top 4 is very doable and outside shot of winning the regular season in the league.

Top 4 maybe, but if you look at each team's remaining schedules, winning the league is not likely. Barring upsets, I think UC may lose one more game, Houston one or 2, Tulsa 2 or 3, Memphis 4 to 6, SMU 2 or 3 and Wichita 4 or 5.

Not saying we will, but Memphis could lose on the road at UC, UConn, SMU and Houston, and at home to Houston or Wichita. I'm pretty sure we will be underdogs in those 4 road games, and maybe the Houston home game.

By outside shot I mean that we control our destiny of being able to win the league. With games left against the top 6 SMU, Cincy, Wichita, Houston x2, this team 100% controls it's own destiny in winning the league.

So yes they have an outside shot at it. Will it happen? Probably not, but can it? Of course it can.

RE: Cincinatti coogin it against WSU
Just looked at it their schedule -
Cincinnati Sunday @ UCONN....they win that game and their remaining road games are ECU, USF and maybe Conference Game of Year at Houston.

Best thing going for teams playing them now will be foul trouble for bigs - they had a Euro 7 foot grad transfer leave for pros this week. But - getting them in foul trouble when playing them at home when the refs "let them play" is difficult..and historically so in particular for the Tigers.

That looked like a Cincinnati BBall team last night that has found its groove - Cumberland is a different player than earlier in year.

Tigers beat them there, right now - no one need question Penny coaching ability at least from standpoint of mental preparation.

In the last 5 games it looks like they have (like a werewolf) transformed into the big, bad Bearcats again.

I mean the refs barely blew the whistle when they played here last month. So that aspect we are used to.

I look at it this way Penny took a less talented team up there last year and came within 1 possession of winning. If they can just slow down and not play out of control it's a very winnable game.

Besides Cincinnati getting it together now - wasn't Cincinnati in Memphis DJ Jeffries' best game.

Then, mix in 10 wins in 38 games over 55 years at Cincinnati - and they're all teenagers.

This game will be a test - hopefully one they pass

Close but we cant catch Tulsa if they win out.

If we play like we did against Temple......calm and under control.....there's no reason why we can't win the rest of our games with the talent we are loaded with.

He tried that against us and was sent packing...

We have better rim protectors...Question is how the refs call the game.

He also wasn't healthy for that game and didn't get healthy until the recent game. This is a completely different Cumberland than last time. He will be ready for those rim protectors, they wont be sending him packing again.
