Memphis Top Offense in AAC?
I know it has been painful at times...

But

We currently have the 2nd highest 3 point% in the league (Tulane)

3rd Highest 2point % in the league (SMU, Cinci)

2nd Highest adjusted Shooting % in the league (SMU)

2nd Highest points per shot (SMU)

Take turnovers and offensive rebounds out of it and we are the second best offensive team in the league.

Just doesn't seem that way but we are very close offensively to being the top team in this league.

Caveat: Houston is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country...So discounting that doesn't really tell the whole story in their case

It is purely turnovers. Cut turnovers from 17 or so to a reasonable rate and that several additional possessions that you have scoring attempts for (more points) but it also eliminates several possessions for the other team, many of which are live ball fast break layups.

A turnover is very often a 4 to 5 point swing in a game, so cutting TOs down by 5/game can easily be a 10-20 point difference.

Yep, a lot of our turnovers this year have not only stopped our fast break but have led to the opponents fast break. We can all live with a player getting the ball stolen. It's the unforced, careless ones that are killing us.
