You could do worse than a 6’6 point guard that was DPOY and won MVP of his conference tournament with the 11th scholarship...

Yeah, I mean what did the last guy he got from NKU do anyway?

Averaged 11 pts 6 rebounds and two blocks for the season. Or 12 pts 11 rebounds and two blocks against Tulsa but whatever.

Hi, you're new here, and i haven't posted as much as usual but that was tongue in cheek for my bro HuskyU 04-cheers

Vogt was one of the better big men in the league.

And a turnover machine. Cincy fans sooooooooooooooo mad at him in game threads.

I know y'all are teasing, but for the record, Vogt averaged 1.7 turnovers per game. That compares favorably to other high-usage inside players in the league such as Igbanu (2.1), Echenique (1.6), and Precious (2.8). Vogt tied for 3rd on the team with Keith Williams behind Jarron Cumberland and Tre Scott. Sorry to ruin the joke, but I'm bored and miss talking about basketball.

Yep, although he has to sit out next year unless he gets a waiver.

His number is lower than Igbanu, but to be fair Igbanu frustrated Tulsa fans with his turnovers. He improved through out the year though. I think he wasn't prepared to be such a focus of defense and took him a while to figure it out. I expect Vogt will see a similar type of attention next year. Overall though he will become a better decision maker and distributor but he may struggle early.

Wow. Way to go, Temple. This latest addition should be enough to have Miggy put you guys at number 1 in his power rankings next season.

RE: Basketball Recruiting Update Thread
heavily recruited by ECU, & Temple..both should be seen as front runners.. Cincy, Georgia and Arkansas have been in contact but no official offers have been made yet..
A Juco shooter

his Juco teammate will be likely seen as the top juco prospect of 2021-- El Ellis.
already holds offers from ECU, Temple, Tulsa, UCF, UConn...no offer from Cincy yet but they have been recruiting him aswell

I wouldn't have been surprised to see McKie bring in an unranked local HS recruit like Jourdain for the class of 2021, given that he will have 5 recruiting slots to fill, but I am very surprised to see him use up one of his two available scholarships for the 2020 class to bring in an unranked player out of HS.

With hundreds of experienced D1 players in the transfer portal, why spend one of two scholarships on an unranked local player?

On the other hand, I questioned McKie's decision to sign PF Arashma Parks, who was also unranked at the time, but he turned out to be a solid role player off the bench last season, in between his shoulder injuries.

Perhaps Jourdain, too, will also turn out to be a solid role player, as the #3 player off the bench. It was important for Temple to add a PF or C due to the departure of Temple's two tallest players at the end of the season, and in view of the fact that two of Temple's remaining PFs will depart after the 2020-21 season. McKie will have to recruit two more big men for the class of 2021.

To be adding a #3 role player off the bench may be somewhat disappointing to Temple fans who were hoping that McKie would bring one or two immediate impact players with high scoring potential out of the transfer portal.

RE: Basketball Recruiting Update Thread
a popular youtuber did a 5min scouting report on caleb murphy

Murphy (a USF commit) is the currently the 2nd highest rated recruit committed to the aac, a top 80 4star

summary if you dont feel like watching- Elite slasher/driver, good mid range..not great shooter or passer..would be a 5star if he was a better shooter or was 6'5+

RE: Basketball Recruiting Update Thread
originally from new jersey, temple is expected to be heavily involved

(elite soph year at robert morris, decent junior year at nebraska)

temple is heavily after him and Brendan Barry (elite sharp shooter from ivy league)..if temple somehow managed to land both, it would change my tune towards them...this is when we find out how good a recruiter mckie is...

there are enough players out there for him pull some pieces

RE: Basketball Recruiting Update Thread
Curious to find out who ends up with Nolley. We were on him hard when KO was here, so he's shown interest in UConn before. The BoneYard was going nuts over our guys following him on Instagram lmao. Can't rule out Penny with the recruiting success he has had. Then there's a lot of big time schools lining up to get him as well.

No idea who ends up with him but whoever does is getting a very good player. Shooting numbers were low overall this year but he didn't have much help. When he's on, he's on.

If UConn doesn't get him, hope someone from the AAC does. I think UConn and Memphis have to be a couple of the favorites right now.
