You're gonna need it for poking the Peso nest in the off season before Memphis fans get their kryptonite of actual games.

Their overwhelming hype every preseason fades out as they take ass whippings and their fanbase disappears from the conference board like their real life fan who took a dump on their concourse. Their memories selectively work and never quite match NCAA record books.

Both are manifestations of their overall program insecurities and failures while cheating like Louisville but never quite having that level of success. Luckily with a shortened ooc and early conference games this year they'll be gone by early December.
This came out of nowhere 03-lmfao

I'm busy and don't get to the board as often, but just reread this thread, every other page is Memphis pulling the garbage that Pesik and them just talked about. Go back to the previous basketball recruiting threads or previous basketball news threads. Its continuous, when they first hired Penny we had like two Memphis posters over here. Band wagon doesn't describe it, Justin Timberlake, Chris Rock, etc etc. The Wiseman nonsense they still try to play off. They were all offended we didn't respect them Peso's first year. They were offended last year. The NCAA is out to get them, that's why they have to vacate everything. Blah blah blah. Meanwhile as I have pointed out multiple times since the AAC took its present form they have finished at .500 almost every year and are at the bottom with ECU, Tulane, and USF in performance. They literally deserve as much respect as ECU's current football program (sorry pirates) both have been in sharp decline.

It gets old listening to the same **** every year while memphis fans fill threads whinging about how they aren't respected.

Tiger/Peso groupies like Yankee, 1983, Crowley, etc response incoming...

That's a terrible take. The worst Memphis teams in this league have won at least 18 games overall and finished at least 8-10 in league play. Yes, Memphis has not lived up to its standards but is light years ahead of Tulane, ECU, and USF in performance since the inception of the league. UCONN and Memphis should have been league anchors on the basketball side and did not pull their weight the last several years but at the very least provided depth to the league and did not destroy our league rpi/sos/net.

Would a, should a, could a.....we went over this earlier, this is why the Memphis hype is annoying, it distorts their issues.

Those three teams (ECU, USF, Tulane) and Memphis have zero NCAA appearences and zero conference championships since Tulsa joined the AAC (2014 or 6 seasons). Memphis is 58-50 in conference play and never finished higher than fifth.

Ranked in order of conference record Cincinnati (84-24) Houston (71-37), Tulsa (67-41), SMU (66-42), and Temple (61-47) have championships and NCAA appearences, UCF (with only 7 fewer conference wins), WSU (in half the time), and UConn (who left) have NCAA bids.

Facts are stubborn things. Kids who are incoming freshmen were in middle school last time Memphis got to the dance and in elementary school the last time Memphis got a conference championship.

Facts are stubborn things. A smart speaker/writer who knows statistics can make them say just about anything they want and still say something truthful.

Your last statement is pretty funny talking about the mindsets of incoming freshmen...............since Memphis has the #3 ranked group in the nation of them coming in. Why is that true if Memphis has been such an awful program? Could it be the winning tradition that precedes 2014? Could it be the allure of Penny? Could it be that they play in front of 18,000 crazed fans (when we are not in a pandemic)?

I also love it when people pick a particular year to state their statistics from. Since the end of 2019, I have purchased a new car every year..........

If only there was some way of knowing that this was going to happen and predicting it beforehand......oh wait03-lmfao

I don't have time so I'll just go ahead and refer you to post 883 on this thread. You can start reading there but feel free to search post by me on this board that include the phrase Lol Memphis in quotes. It's always entertaining and usually get Memphis fans and their jealousy of lil ol' Tulsa going so hard they start flagging posts because they are so insecure they can't take accurate truthful criticism on an anonymous internet message board. Here is a highlight of the second or third time in this thread of my Lol Memphis ongoing documentary.

Since Tulsa joined the AAC:

Cincinnati is 84-24
Houston is 71-37
Tulsa is 67-41

Memphis is sixth at 58-50 behind SMU and Temple, everyone in front of you has a championship and an NCAA appearence. You have none of those. In those six years Memphis has finished in front of Tulsa twice and below by an average of just over three games the other four times.

Lol memphis

nobody cares that you were last addition to the AAC...we started keeping AAC records in 2014. 07-coffee3

of course you also have the Cotton and Liberty Bowl money Memphis has earned the AAC.

Since Tulsa has joined only four teams from the AAC haven't made an NCAA tourney, Tulane, ECU, USF, and Memphis.

You all are so bad at this:

A] Yes, I've noticed this habit with Memphis fans and vacated records. That's why an accurate whole picture is required. That way its apples to apples. Kind of like how comparing two teams from the time they started sharing a conference by conference record to accurately depict trends. Or observing a program that has had at least one NCAA major infraction every decade since the 1970s and theorizing they might be breaking the rules again.

B] Could it be that Penny has already been caught violating NCAA rules on recruiting? Could that be the reason for the mysterious departure of one of his lauded assitant coaches and recruiters? Could it be the NCAA will again be sanctioning the school soon for these sort of things while a delusional fanbase talks about who will perform at midnight madness while beating their chests about 5th and 6th place conference finishes? Could it?

C] Reference to answer A. Your stat would matter if we both bought new cars in 2019 and you did again in 2020; don't worry I know Tiger fans have a passion for living in past years, its ok, we'll just keep going, and I didn't. However since we were both in the same conference starting in 2014 and I was comparing our conference performance, well you just kind of look dumb and not because you forgot what year is almost over.

Looking at your record and performance since we joined this conference I wonder why memphis fans wouldn't be able to find anything good or positive about being in a conference with Tulsa 03-lmfao

Of course the 03-nutkick is that we do it with out cheating and upholding high academic standards, while memphis is crying about NCAA sanctions and vacated records they didn't earn 07-coffee3

Man,,,,,,,, your shtick is is really getting old, tired, and redundant.
I understand that you are obsessed with the Memphis program and you feel that arguing that your team is as good or even better makes you feel better, but geez can you move forward and talk about what is good and positive about your team and inform as to why Tulsa is a good conference mate because I can't for the life me think of anything. 07-coffee307-coffee307-coffee3

Lol Memphis fans trying to say the bolded part. You all come in here every year with the same bull**** and get mad that others point out your hype.

You also skipped right past the invisible hand posted video and the article that I talked about which you know are positive things about us defending the conference championship we won last year. The one a 40 point drubbing of another 5th or 6th place finishing memphis team helped us win.

Lol memphis

Yeah just what I thought,,,,,,,,,. You couldn't think of any redeeming qualities for Tulsa being in the AAC either. It's okay though because hopefully in the next round of realignment Memphis and Penny won't be an issue for you anymore. 07-coffee307-coffee3

An NCAA death penalty and a show cause for Peso???????? Damn terrible news.

We'll be counting up those conference championships and talking about missing UConn. Hang in there, it'll work out. Maybe JT can throw you all a benefit concert?

A] Yes, I've noticed this habit with Memphis fans and vacated records. That's why an accurate whole picture is required. That way its apples to apples. Kind of like how comparing two teams from the time they started sharing a conference by conference record to accurately depict trends. Or observing a program that has had at least one NCAA major infraction every decade since the 1970s and theorizing they might be breaking the rules again.

Sorry but your routine doesn't bother me at all due to the fact that I feel nothing about your program at all. I see that you still can't think of anything that makes Tulsa a valuable conference mate as I'm sure that no one else in can either. 07-coffee307-coffee3

@GoodmanHoops
Tulane forward Oton Jankovic has received NCAA waiver to play this season, Ron Hunter told @Stadium. Transferred from Vanderbilt.

03-nutkick

this is why we are on our 3rd coach. Unlike tulsa, mediocrity is not acceptible at Memphis.

So in our worst stretch in the last 30 years, we are 6-6 against Tulsa. Yeah you are right that is unacceptable. Like I said .500 against Tulsa will get a Memphis coach fired. Especially since before 2015, we had beaten mighty Tulsa 26 of 28.

LoL Tulsa
