SMU could be playing for the AAC title game this week, if not for falling a 2 point conversion attempt short of finishing off their big comeback at home against Cincinnati Oct 22.

Memphis could be playing for the AAC title game this week, if not for losing back-to-back against UH and ECU in early October by a combined 3 points. Giving up a 17 point first half lead in the ECU game and a 19 point 4th quarter lead against Houston made those close losses even tougher for the Tigers.

Memphis also fell just one score short against UCF.

On the upside, both teams are bowling and the winner clinches a winning season.

Memphis and SMU ( especially SMU) have both shown flashes of Championship level play. If Mordecai is “on” there could be no stopping him. Surprised me when I saw it but Hennigan’s stats for the year are almost identical though(except for his 18TDs to Mordecai’s 29)

Memphis is past due for a conference road win against someone other than Navy.

I'd love to see Mordecai to Rice have another big game. Should be fun.

The blocked extra point is a fine example of Tiger FB woes.
