Vanderbilt changes athletic directors...again
Malcolm Turner has resigned at Vanderbilt.

Apparently, this was not terribly abrupt as the replacement has already been named. I know the article says she's an interim, but they're making a big deal of the historical significance so it doesn't make a lot of sense that this is meant to be temporary.

So Vanderbilt was not happy Turner burned through the $17M “rainy day fund” the previous AD left the department. Now if Turner spent it in unaccountable ways, then he surely needed to be removed, but if he used it upgrading facilities and trying to keep up with other SEC schools, then we have a major Vanderbilt issue.
