Win this game and I'll believe.
I agree, but I hate to say that as long as I have followed NIU basketball, I have only been let down when it gets to the time of getting over the hump.
Well. I gladly eat crow and this win feels good. Not because we beat Toledo, but more of an optimism for hoops

On my way home from the game, was listening to the Rockets announcing crew, which includes Jay Lehman a Toledo BBall hall of famer who's been around MAC basketball since the late '70s early 80's and he said that German was one of the top 5 one on one players he's seen in the MAC, ever.

RE: MBB Huskies @ Rockettes
IMO, Friday is the game of the year for NIU, a win vs Kent will open up a WORLD of opportunity. Not a must win, but a win that would be enormous.

Indeed, this team will have a good chance in the MAC. Did it without Henry-Hays last night and basically nothing from Cochran.
Lacy James really turned it on in the 2nd half.
I was most impressed with NIU's ability to quickly stop any Toledo momentum in the 2nd half, mainly with defense. Toledo had a few open looks in the half, but not many.

They do it without Henry-hays just about every night as he’s played in like a whopping 6 games this season.

Yeah, no disrespect to Rod, but they’ve found a nice rotation to settle into. It’s really the starting 5+ Cochoran with Mateen, Daow, and Johnson mixed in occasionally.

I agree but in the same breath I really like Rods skill set and wish he got more minutes. But like they say if something isn’t broke don’t fix it, maybe next year he’ll have a bigger role.

RE: MBB Huskies @ Rockettes
After playing in 34 games last season with 21 minutes per game and not get playing time this year is a real slap to Hayes' face. Why come back next year?
