AAC Tournament at DICKIE'S ARENA Fort Worth
Here is a video of the arena. Should be worth attending. Lots of great things to do in Fort Worth.

American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco announced that Dickies Arena has been selected to host the 2020-22 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championships. The dates of the championships will be March 12-15, 2020; March 11-14, 2021; and March 10-13, 2022. February 22, 2020 • 7 p.m. If you are bringing kids, SIX FLAGS is open in March.

04-cheers Thanks for posting. Dickies Arena video shows it to be a very nice venue. I have been to Frisco when I was travelling in business. I also spent some time at Pete's place on the lake. Fort Worth can be a real hoot. You can actually feel like a cowboy sitting on a saddle at one of the bars while having a beer or Jack Black or etc, etc, etc. to drink.

Thanks for sharing. 14k - let's fill it full of blue. Our boys have ridden a roller coaster this year. Let's show 'em what it means to be a Tiger. Flood them with support.

Anyone remember a time when corporations weren't so prevalent in college athletics? Say what you will about Louisville at least they haven't renamed Freedom Hall to KFC Buy Buy Hall. All hail the corporate masters and their corporate whores! They have become the bane of what are supposed to be amateur athletics. Oh, and GTFO my lawn!

LOL. Remember when all the bowl games were just "bowl" games. Now most have dropped the real bowl name and just gone to the corporate name.

And oh btw, doesn't Louisville play at the KFC Yum! Center? I mean Memphis didn't rename the Mid South Coliseum. Don't quite follow what you meant on that.

We need about 7-8K seats max. TV for our normal tourney attendance will not show well in a place this big. Nice place though.

Ah, you are correct so eff Louisville still. And if the MSC was still a venue I'm sure the name would have been changed by now.

One of the reasons new arenas are nicer is that they can spend more money on them due to the inflow of revenue from selling the naming rights of the arena. I would rather sit in comfy seats and have nice concessions/facilities in FedExForum than get zero leg room and a nose bleed right before eating a 3 month old hotdog at the Pyramid.

You're upset that a rodeo barn in Fort Worth has a sponsorship name? That has nothing to do with amateur athletics.

Also, what the hell is Freedom Hall doing these days?

In viewing the video, actually looks as if even the upper sections have a very good view, unlike nosebleed section of former Pyramid or FedEx Forum for that matter.

Hoping the Tiger Athletic Ticket Office has improved since the chaotic and total implosion developed during the Cotton Bowl fiasco. Otherwise, we will have the same issues that keep Stubhub, etc. raking the $’s in vs university.

Lol, no, I'm not upset. I'm concerned with how money derived from corporate entities has polluted the supposed purity of amateur athletics even though that ideal was abandoned long before corporations became involved. I'm not that naive or idealistic. It's not a priority on my list of pressing concerns though so thanks for your concern for my emotional well being but I'm fine. My jimmies aren't all that rustled.

Is the Landers Center across the line in MS a suitable venue for an AAC tourney (since they want a neutral court)?

What I hate is that there are dozens of business sponsorships at FedEx Forum or for Tiger sports from good restaurants (Wing Guru, Huey's, Half Shell, Patrick's, Jets Pizza, Central BBQ, Sunrise, etc.) and yet you cannot find one decent thing to eat during a Tiger game. Does anyone know why the food is so terrible? There at least used to be a few decent options like Rock & Dough, then Jets, and Lenny's used to sell sandwich boxes and soup.
