Just play it there.

Landers is the definition of mediocre.

The FEF would have no say in the matter, since the LC is in another county/state. But yeah, no one wants to play at the LC anyway. I think we all were just saying the crowds would be bigger even at the LC than in Forth Worth.

That's a little harsh, there is only 1 other arena/center in the country I would rather it be played in & IF that's not an option......give me the LC anytime.....I think it is absolutely the right size venue for the tournament how it is currently attended.....FEF would have probably been better served last year to have curtained off the Terrace level, if you were trying to show an exciting environment vs offering a seemingly unlimited supply of available tickets.

Notwithstanding how nice Dickie might be, it will look as if it's empty with under 6K for most sessions. UH, SMU & Tulsa won't sell 6K tickets between them. WSU will bring some fans. Memphis will bring some fans & that's about it. The AAC needs a central location, Memphis.
It needs a venue that sells out at about 8K to put pressure on ticket sales - it will looked like it is full on TV. Landers should be a serious consideration, given the AAC hss apparently decided no home courts.

Would think this would be a great promo for Tunica & Beale St too.

I wouldn't recommend going to the conference tournament and buying tickets online. Me, specifically, I think it's pointless. UCF, Temple, Connecticut, Tulane, Tulsa, and East Carolina will bring no one. Cincinnati might bring people and that's because the long drive from Cincy to DFW will be worth the 14 hour drive I believe to see the Bearcats winning the conference title. Yes, Wichita State will bring fans, but not tons. SMU will bring some, but they're attendance and fan base will be thin. Houston can be a hit or miss. Memphis won't bring any fans as what we expected because I think our basketball team can lose four more games, and will eliminated from postseason play.
I would much rather buy tickets off the street for a much discounted price, some maybe even free.

Pretty much the way it will be, except given how few Cincy fans showed up for their two FB games here with the title on the line, I doubt they bring many either. WSU brings fans win or lose, but not so with the rest of the conference.

04-cheers I agree. I had to use e-ticket thru South Florida when Memphis played here in Tampa and I was scared that I would not have a paper ticket to get in the stadium with and I could not get it to print properly. So I took my stupid cell phone and that was the first time I used it for that purpose. Even when I travelled in business a lot I always printed out my ticket. People in line would try and use their cell phones and their battery would go dead or it would not display and caused back up in the boarding lines. Oh well, it is what it is. What are those moving stairs they call escalaters or something like that.

Conference tourneys are not attended well for anyone these days. Ours will not be the exception.

I do think it's odd if the AAC has drawn the line in the sand of "neutral" courts only, though - given how the football championship is played on a home field.

B12 (mainly KU, but Iowa St and others will travel if good) and SEC (esp Kentucky in Nashville and ATL) have good crowds, but those have a somewhat regional footprint. BE final is always packed

Finals are different. Any conference can have a good final - depending on participants. But check out the Wed-Fri games of any P5 conference this year. There will be plenty of seats.
