3 losses seems reasonable.
I think we can win all of our home games.

I see us 22-9 going into the Conference tournament and winning 2 games there. I hope we will gel by then and make a huge run.

Those of us in the industry call it a floor, but whatever works.

There’s a ceiling on the bottom floor and the top floor though and a roof covering it all. Maybe our floor is lose all the rest of the games, the bottom ceiling is lose 4, the top ceiling is lose 2, and the roof is win all the rest. Ever think about that, smart guy???

RE: my predictions rest of the way (last 10 games of the reg. season)
We have 1 Quad 1 win so far, but if UT keeps losing (and they will) then that’ll likely disappear.
If Houston keeps winning, our games against them could become Quad1. (Although if we win, then they’ll fall out)
That means ~5 Quad1 type games remain, and since we’ll have zero, you guys expect us to win 2-3?
Demonstrated results against quality competition predicts future success.
5-5 til the conference tourney, and that’s a positive outlook.
21-10
Win 2 in tourney, 23-11.
NIT.
Reset those realistic expectations...
I’ll hope for better, and even with that record I’ll be proud of this team.

I see us loosing three games (@ cin; @ Tul; @ Hou):
23-8 (12-6)
before the AAC tourney start. If we win the tourney ( 4 games); then we could be 27-8 (16-6), best case scenario.

Better not lose Tulane, I'm going and it'll be my first trip to New Orleans
They are very well coached team and will throw some decent zones at us...I really see us loosing this. They almost came back and beat us at home.
I'm not sure we beat UCONN at their place or Houston at ours.

RE: my predictions rest of the way (last 10 games of the reg. season)
Over the history of the AAC, all teams making the NCAA tourney have had a minimum of 12 conference wins and 20 overall wins. This INCLUDES the AAC tourney - as those games are theoretically part of your NCAA resume.
The % of AAC teams making it, sorted by conference wins:
12 wins = 29%
13 wins = 75%
14 wins = 50%
15 wins = 67%
16+ wins = 100%
As soft as the bubble is this year, we might be able to get in with 12 wins (including the tourney). But we probably need to get to 13 wins. If we go 5-5 down the stretch, we will need to make the CCG.
Sagarin has us going 6-4 down the stretch and entering the AAC tourney with 11 wins. KenPom has 4-6, in which case we would need to win the AAC tourney.

I'm with you on this. After suffering through Tulsa and SMU debacles, we could lose Saturday. Were getting kinda thin to be playing transition (press and run) basketball. Seems everyone zones us now ... Saying OK, shoot over it. I'm betting we see it again Saturday. Go cold and lose basketball !!!

They've been better against the zone the last 3 games. I also don't know of Tigers team in the last 20 years that has been good against a zone.

Yea, it's obvious they're working on zone offense. They did before Tulsa - but it didn't stick. Now it seems it's sticking. Guys getting to the soft spots. Of course, better shooting always helps too.

We hit shots the last three games. The L squad has come on strong. Gotta get the Hi-Lo going with LT, PA and Dog. Dribble Drive too. That's how we beat zone D. Stop lolligagging out on the damn perimeter. I don't know why we keep doing dat sheet. Leeds to bad shots, fast breaks and fouls. Move dammit !!

What I've seen the last 3 games is more patience when teams go zone and then putting Precious in the middle of it and throwing it in to him. Precious then taking the ball and attacking the rim and getting fouled.
Also shooting the ball better does count as being better against the zone.

That game against UConn will be tough. Especially after they beat Tulsa last night. I think we lose that one before we lose to Tulane.

In the most recent post-game presser Lester was asked some forgettable question; but he responded by saying that Penny told him to be more aggressive on offense and shoot when he's open.
Instructions like that take a lot of pressure off the shooter. That way he has no time to let his mind butt-in.
