I was an avid listener years ago when I had time. Not so much in the past few years due to work..but..I have always thought he was bright guy with a lot of incite. Very sorry to hear of his battle with cancer. I lost my mother a year ago to it. Its a scourge in almost all families.

There’s no question this award has turned more political in recent years. And there’s also no question that Obama was more active in presenting this award than Trump, who generally has given it to just sports figures.

I think my biggest beef was where it was presented. To my knowledge, this is the first time it was forced upon the American public in a separate venue and bigger audience rather than the standard White House ceremony which no one really pays that much attention to.
