I can't remember anyone in recent times (actually in that last 25+ years) talk of going to the Sweet 16 or at least since Boykins graduated.

The consensus on this forum has been a successful season is making the MAC semis or MAC finals.

I have (yes, me) set the lower bar. I've always said making the MAC semis is 'meeting expectations' for a successful season.

Hosting a first round is 'minimal expectations.'

I don’t recall saying this to you. Hyperbolic duh. But nearly everyone over the last few year have screaming we are on a roll! When the team wins 50% or better of the last half of the season. Saying we told you so, only to fall flat in the first couple of rounds of the tournament.

I realize you are being hyperbolic, but HONESTLY, most EMU fans had modest expectations.

If one says "MAC Finals" one is accused of being a follower of "Sunshine Steve."

Last year was the exception. EMU was selected pre-season #1 in the MAC West. This year are re-building. Everyone knows that, friend and foe.

Last night's Iowa caucus is an electoral equivalence to the MBB game in Mt. P. a couple years ago with near record lows and the refs taking I think 8 minutes to review a call.

The wind chill was dropping quickly. Warming up the bus was an effort and the game officials extended things...
