Basketball after thought
Now with the demise of the basketball season, is most of us now turning our attention back to football ? There seems to be excitement now with addition of the new coaching staff on board and the upcoming signing period.

Basketball after thought
We've had a good run of decent teams in most of our major sports. The women's basketball team seems to still have some life in them and could make a run. This is one really off year for mens football and basketball. I always think to myself about the schools that endure year after year of losing records. It has to be tough being a dedicated fan if reaching a 500% win total is an achievement. Luckily even though we haven't brought home many MAC championships in football and Basketball, we are always competitive. Here's to hoping this year is just a blip.

Baseball starts in 9 day. If the rain clears out of the forecast I may head down.

Interesting, alot of the early schedule in Tennessee,
Texas, and Alabama. No Florida schools this time around. Darn! 05-mafia

RE: Basketball after thought
We had a good run the past 10-15 years no doubt. We knocked off our fair share of big time opponents (Michigan, Cincinnati, Pitt, Penn State) in football to name a few and the women capturing the WNIT. Not too long ago MBB won 27 games. Not too shabby. We have the best facilities in The MAC as well. Reliving the "Glory Days" helps, but, it doesn't take away the sting from this year's losses. Maybe we can recapture some of the magic to finish on a high note??

Leaving basketball behind might be cause you to have a case of premature evacuation. If the ladies play like they did Saturday I could see Cleveland in their future. And we have softball, tennis, track, golf. . . Lots of stuff to see before football disappoints us again.

This will be the best Rocket D since 2015 mark it down. It will mean at least 3 or 4 more wins than this past season including a home azz kicking of BGSUX.

I already think this team is done. 4 straight home losses.

Pressure needs to start on TK just like Candle. This academic year was lackluster to say the least.

So Candle fired coaches or a coach left, is it the moment for coach K to do the same and/or promote one within ?

I think not. Despite the struggles this season I believe this is an excellent coaching staff with Kowalczyk, Massey, Offutt, Ingram and Lauf and that the problems this year are an aberration.

Bingo!!!

In 17 seasons as a DI head coach, coach K has never been to the NCAA tournament. Question answered.

BINGO !!!
- And this will be 18 seasons as a D1 head coach, that K will never make it to the NCAA tournament... Some people on this board give this coach too much latitude...

The staff is good, but the HC will not adapt or change, subsequently sending this program into a downward trajectory that we are seeing now...

I don't see how one down year after back to back 20+ win seasons means the program is in a downward trajectory. If they have multiple losing seasons in a row, that would be a downward trajectory

THIS TEAM HASN'T GOT BETTER UP TO THIS POINT! RUN OFF FIFTY SCREENS JUST TO TAKE A THREE POINT SHOT. A ONE DIMENSIONAL TEAM. IF THEY AREN'T SHOOTING A HIGH PERCENTAGE FROM THE 3 POINT LINE THEY WONT WIN. ITS TK SCHEME! WHEN DOES TK AND STAFF TAKE RESPONSIBILITY ? LETS FACE IT THIS TEAM LOOKS THE SAME FROM DAY ONE. WHEN FANS SPEND THERE HARD EARNED MONEY THEY DESERVE MORE THAN BLAME AND EXCUSES FROM TK! FANS DONT WANT THE PLAYERS COACHING THE TEAM! FANS PAY TK AND STAFF TO COACH! HOW IS IT THAT PLAYERS TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY ON HOW THINGS ARE GOING AND TK TAKES 0 RESPONSIBILITY. THE SMOKE HAS CLEARED AND TK AND STAFF CANT ELEVATE THIS TEAM TO THE NEXT LEVEL. THEY'VE SAID IT AND MADE IT CLEAR THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME THING. RUN FIVE PLAYERS INTO THE GROUND BECAUSE MAYBE THE BENCH ISNT READY BUT WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT ? IF TK COACHING STAFF WAS GOOD THEN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUPPORTING CAST WILL SHOW? NEXT SEASON WILL BE EVEN MORE EXCUSES FROM TK AND STAFF BUT PERHAPS DECLINING TICKET SALES WILL FORCE A SHAKE UP.
Doing the same thing and expecting different results = insanity .. but let’s go rockets?
