"Our reality is full of kids who are showing up to schools that are full of mold and leaking rooftops. Our reality has children who are facing drills every single day to learn about how they can escape being shot in our schools."

Omar seems to forget that the areas that are being overrun with homeless people – like San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City – are all cities under Democratic mayors and legislators. Homelessness isn't a new phenomenon. L.A. has always had "Skid Row," an area in downtown that has become infamous because of its condensed homeless population. Democrats continually cite areas like Skid Row or even Downtown San Francisco as an area they want to "clean up" and "fix." What do they do? Throw our taxpayer dollars at the problem but they never get to the root cause of the issue and why people are homeless to begin with. Is it because people fell on hard times and couldn't afford a house or an apartment? Did someone get involved in drugs and they're living on the streets so the money they'd spend on housing can go towards their drug habit? Does mental illness play a role in a person's instable living conditions?

In fact, Dr. Drew Pinsky has repeatedly said the people on Los Angeles' streets are people who are "chronically mentally ill" and they fail to receive treatment. That's a place for Democrats to start instead of launching poop patrols like San Francisco did.

Instead of coming to America and blaming the country fo not living up to hear fantasy, Omar should be looking at her party for failing to give her and her family the "American Dream" they were promised.

What Omar misses is that her frustration is indeed borne from the American Dream as well. Said dream is about the fulfillment of individual rights, to include the right to fail, be grossly incompetent or simply not GAF. In the case of the mentally ill or compulsive drug users, is she willing to violate their civilities for their own good? Or take children away from negligent parents?

The sleight of hand the DNC like to run though is for funds to be directed towards various advocacy groups as a display of their benevolence and compassion. That said groups make even a dent in the problem they were created to address is rarely mentioned save for the standard 'we could do more good with more money' tactic. That said, screeds like hers have always made for good copy.

She puts down the US because it wasn't what she imagined the US to be. Yet, she never puts down her own country where most of it is 3rd world. She should have stayed there and tried to fix it.

What people don't really grasp is this is why chain gangs worked. Most of those in them were petty criminals or derelicts. Take a group of people get them up at 5:00 AM work them hard, get them to sweat, feed them 3 hots and give them a cot, and you can help the best of them to defeat their addictions, get in shape, and give them skill sets suitable to manual labor when they get out.

The problem is in the #abusive world we have today honest labor which has therapeutic value is somehow a form of abuse, as if addictions to narcotics and alcohol are not, and somehow 3 hots and cot in a minimum security situation is depriving them of the right to starve on the streets and get murdered for a coat.

This is why the whole bull**** liberal line of thinking needs to be punted and practical solutions to everyday problems sought. Replace slinging weeds with cleaning up the highways and coastlines and planting new forests when old ones burn and these people serve the common good instead of killing themselves slowly.
