B-ball team showing signs of life
Smothering defense in the games in Texas. Just makes you ponder the bizarreness of the Southern Miss and FIU games. I’m hoping they figure out that you have to bring that intensity ever night to win consistently. Anyway congrats on a successful road trip.

Maybe the fans (or lack thereof) needs to bring the intensity at home.

Someone mentioned that Rice is a high scoring team. Might have been Crane.

We will need to play well on both sides of the court.

You should express the lack of fan support to the City of Birmingham and the local tv sport stations that don't even tell you the score of UAB Basketball games anymore.

Yes, two nice road wins. Happy to see the lineup changes that have seemed to spark some evidence of offense. Butler is taking charge. Some of the younger guys playing very hard and sharing the ball. More of this.

Now if we had only won the USM home game.

I hope the extra bonus game if on Saturday is a night. game. I have extremely difficult time making afternoon games. Games start at such random times even when not on TV. Fans must follow UAB website or ESPN/Yahoo. Local media useless.

I listened to the game last night on jox2. Well actually it was Jox2 on TuneIn.

So home Thursday against Rice
home Saturday against North Texas

Following week - Home Wednesday night vs MTSU
Away Saturday vs MTSU

We really need all 4 of these to pretty much get a Pod 1 spot.
winning only 3 would probably need we need some serious help to get there.

Don't know what that had to do with my comment but ok.

There are plenty of enough UAB fans who have supported UAB over the years that know we still play and can easily find out when we play.

No reason why we shouldn't have at least 3500 at the games. Haven't truly had it since before Haase.

Those who are just blowing in the wind might not know about UAB's games, but the majority do.

No excuses not to attempt to go to the games on Thursday or Saturday if you are free and are around town.

The silence from some of you after we win is deafening.

winning is great.

Very happy to see the shakeup in starters/bench and the minutes given out.

Gueye needs to ride the bench. Nicholson deserves his extra PT. he is producing and not a turnover machine (turnover includes 6'10" guy who bricks 3's)

I don't understand why our bigs shoot 3s or are allowed at all to shoot them.
There are like 2 or 3 big men in history that are 6'10" or taller and could shoot high% outside.

one is Kevin Durant, perennial All pro
another is Dirk Nowitzski perennial all pro

all those other bigs are silently encouraged to be out on 3 pt line where they are useless.

& I really do like Pearson's hustle. Just wish he wouldn't turn it over quite as much and maybe be a tad more selective on his shots.

Likewise TSG is a force on defense and has his moments on offense. Needs to be a little bit more selective on his shots as well.

1. My comments were in reference to the lack of fans at the games and the media coverage of UAB Basketball which both are nonexistent at the moment.

2. Hardcore fans will know when UAB plays. Problem is there's not that many hardcore fans anymore and the casual fan probably don't know when games are played.

3. And the casual and hardcore fan are probably not interested in the product on the floor which is why they are not attending the games.

It's called life fellas. It is what it is whether you, myself or anyone else likes it or not.
