commitment 2021
Chicago Tribune:

A week after wrapping up the 2020 signing class, Northern Illinois added to its 2021 class Monday with the commitment of Aurora Christian quarterback Ethan Hampton.

Hampton has a three-star rating from 247Sports.com, which ranks him as the No. 33 prospect in Illinois in the junior class and the No. 40 pro-style quarterback in the nation. He threw for 2,130 yards with 28 touchdowns and five interceptions last fall for the Eagles and also rushed for 581 yards and four scores, according to 247.

Hampton told NBC Sports Chicago’s Edgy Tim O’Halloran that Huskies coach Thomas Hammock offered him a scholarship after he threw in front of Hammock and offensive coordinator Eric Eidsness last month at Aurora Christian and then attended a junior day at NIU.

He’s the third member of NIU’s 2021 class, according to 247, joining Solorio wide receiver/safety Brian Whitsey and tight end Blake Kosin of Clarkston, Mich.
