MBB Redhawks @ Huskies
3pm on CBSSN

NCAA NET Miami 213 NIU 178
KenPom Miami 228 NIU 213

MAC only stats:
FG% Miami is 7th on offense and 10th on defense
NIU is 12th on offense and 1st on defense
3pt% Miami is 4th on offense and 11th on defense
NIU is 6th on offense and 1st on defense

As a team Miami shoots FG% of .443 and 3pt% .422.

Redhawks have balanced scoring and Coleman-Landis is 19 for 36 .528% on three pointers.

Huskies need to keep the momentum going. Geno needs to become number one all time Huskie scorer and it would be nice if he did it early. What would really help is if Lacey James could get off his two game funk and get a double double.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18 is the number, I hear, for Gino. Gino hasn't scored 20 points in a game in a while.
So it might not happen today! If not today it will be on the road, Tuesday.

If it happens today we NEED to win. Winning is more important than Gino becoming the all-time NIU point scorer. Don't keep feeding Gino the ball if he ain't hittin.

Winning is definitely more important. The records are his to be had. It’s a moment in NIU history, but we have bigger fish to fry. Go Huskies!!!

If he doesn’t score 18 there is a good chance NIU loses. If they just play like they normally do Geno will score 20pts and Huskies will win[/i]

Judging from the mentions of it on their social media accounts....I'm guessing they might not be aware of it.

RE: MBB Redhawks @ Huskies
I love my Huskies. But not a fan of Montgomery. I see an awful Miami team and we are struggling to beat them. I know the final score may seem ok, but 1) the fact that the game is on tv, yet no one is here discussing it-- 2) the fact that it appears after this year most of the scoring is lost -- I just don't see a program being built.

Ricardo Patton took us from mediocre-- past bad -- to god awful. Montgomery has lifted us from god awful all the way to bad. Not quite mediocre.

Time for a coach to get us to mediocre, I say!

And I don't care where we may be in standings. I am looking at the product on the court-- and the players in the pipeline. Where are we going?

It is legit to argue we made it to mediocre, if you want. But we have not made it to good, and, sorry, I don't see it in the near future.

But, Go Huskies! Yes we can.

I am so proud of this team! They are fun to watch and are masters of defense. Needless to say, I am proud of #10 and that I was at the game to see history. Great win by the ladies, too. What a wonderful afternoon!
