Great message, just wish it wasn't given by an overrated band from Ireland.

Both the Pre-Game and Halftime shows are too long, I don't care who's performing.

Not to mention the TV timeouts.

But it ain't changing because of the $$$.

Imagine being a player and having to sit for 45 minutes after Pre-Game Warmup and then again at Halftime.

Reality TV at its worst.

Agreed.

The NFL sucks and so does the Super Bowl.

But that U2 performance, after the horrific tragedy of 911, was more powerful and important than any football game.

Half-time show was trashy in all definitions of the word.

I was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction..

I spent most of the halftime looking at my phone. I don't get these choreographed dances - they bore me to death.

If the performers aren't even singing, is it anything more than an elaborate dance routine? I don't understand most SB halftime shows. I don't get who it appeals to or who they're trying to appeal to.

The days of singer-songwriter guitar bands like Maroon 5 and Coldplay are likely done.

Superbowls want glitz, bootie-shaking and overpowering spectacles, which dozens of synchronized dancers wearing brightly colored clothes provide. Not a few dudes wearing jeans standing in one place.

I prefer the rock-oriented stuff they used to have, but I understand they need to cater to new audiences.

And while Shakira and J Lo are hardly my brand of music tastes, it was at least somewhat entertaining.

Don't know about that but definitely the 18-34 demographic and apparently the Hispanic community (it was in Miami after all).
