That officiating crew is as good as you’re going to get on a Friday night in the MAC. Chris Beaver and Larry Scirotto are Sweet Sixteen referees and Darryl Smith has 20+ years of experience in the MAC and Big 10. In this day and age of 4K ultra HD slo-mo multi-angle replays, it’s as hard a job as its ever been.

I miss the bald guy.

Thanks Jim. As soon as the pups are old enough to appreciate it my old man and I will be back. Maybe minus The martinis and beer flights at Rays, and perhaps without f’n with the opposing coach just for kicks....but if you will smile and take us in, we will be back in the highlife again!

One positive thing I will say on the refs. I thought they gave the players and coaches a long leash. I was happy that they didn't throw any T's (although Groce punching the scorers table seemed a bit much). In a close rivalry game with emotions running so high a bad call compounded by a tech can be crucial to deciding the game.
