What is your QB depth like for next year?
What is your teams QB situation? Starter/backups/ QB battle?
I will start with UCF with Gabriel and Mack both back. Both have had substantial playing time and either could lead. Also McKenzie Milton now into a normal knee brace there is some question of his availability
I know Memphis has Brady White coming back (what are the backup situation)
Would like to hear about each team's potential leader for next season.

RE: What is your QB depth like for next year?
Cincinnati- Desmond Ridder (Jr), Ben Bryant (So), Michael Lindauer (RS-FR Former Mr. Indiana Football) and now add into the mix this year's Mr. Ohio Football, 4-Star recruit Evan Prater.
Ridder is 22-4 as the starter the past two years. As Ridder sat out against Memphis in the season finale (not the CCG) Bryant got the start. Ridder is a dual threat but Bryant has the stronger, more accurate arm. Prater drips with potential, will likely end up being a multi-year starter here before it is all said and done. His game reminds me of Ridder's except he is more athletic and has a stronger arm. We have heard there will be an open competition this year.

ECU:
Starter:
Holton Ahlers (JR) - You all know about Holton. He's the man.
Depth:
Mason Garcia (FR) - Highest rated ECU recruit ever, according to 247. Will be a true freshman. Will he redshirt?
Bryan Gagg (RS FR) - Was Holton Ahlers' primary backup once Reid Herring announced he was transferring. Had 1 pass attempt last year. Will likely be #3 if Mason Garcia doesn't redshirt. Will be the backup if he does.
Alex Flinn (RS FR) - Depth piece. No playing time last year.
Ryan Stubblefield (FR) - Will be a true freshman.
Taji Hudson (FR) - Will be a true freshman. Will he play WR?
Caiden Norman (JR) - Walk-on.

I heard that Garcia has under a 2.0 HS GPA and may not even graduate, much less qualify. If he does make it on campus, that will certainly be a big get for ECU. His tape is outstanding.

RE: What is your QB depth like for next year?
UCF is suddenly in a strong position at QB. It had looked a little bleak for depth there for a few weeks with some expected transfers that ended up not happening.
Starter - Dillon Gabriel, SO, Freshman All-American. Had a few bad games as a FR, but he also lit up a bunch of people. The AAC needs to be really scared of this kid for the next three years.
Backups -
- DJ Mack, RS JR, replaced Milton after his injury last year. Talented athlete, but not real accurate as a passer. He'll transfer after 2020 as a grad transfer.
- Quadry Jones, RS SO, transferred to Alabama State in December but returned to UCF and re-enrolled in January. Should be fully eligible in 2020. Hasn't seen the field much, but the reports from practice are positive. He's from Orlando, and I bet he sticks it out from here on out. Might see him at WR at some point.
- Parker Navarro, FR, committed but not yet signed; impressive tape from Arizona
- Gaston Moore, FR, PWO just committed; had a PWO offer from Iowa State; from South Carolina...I don't know his offers overall, but I'm surprised he doesn't have CUSA/SBC offers from his tape. Very pleased to get a guy that looks this good as a PWO QB.
RS SR - McKenzie Milton. I remain skeptical that he will ever play again, but his recovery is going very well. I'd think 2021 if he does manage to get back out there.

As recently as last week the reports were that he's on-track academically.

Pretty sure Ahlers is the best quarterback on the planet. At least he was when I watched him.

Yeah, we still lost. But his numbers vs Cincy were nuts.
535 Passing Yards (4 TD's, 1 INT) and a rushing TD.

Clayton Tune - Junior
Dana is extremely high on Tune, calls him an NFL guy. Should have been redshirted in 2018 (thanks Major), was not healthy at any point after the first half of the North Texas game in 2019.
Logan Holgorsen - Sophomore
Walk-on. Dana's son. Was not great in emergency duty last season. Had a few FBS offers out of HS.
Sofian Massoud - Freshman
Played one season of HS ball in Houston after moving from New Jersey. Was committed to Rutgers at one point. Put up video game type numbers and led a historically awful program in a very tough district to within one game of the playoffs in the largest classification in Texas. 3* recruit , early enrollee, should see 4 games next season and redshirt
Ike Ogbogu - Junior
Walk-on. Has played a handful of snaps in his career.
Definitely think Houston will pick up somebody on the grad transfer/JUCO market with only two scholarship QBs. Junior WR Bryson Smith was a record-setting QB in HS, so he could see some snaps there also.

RE: What is your QB depth like for next year?
Memphis has 2 quarterbacks on-campus behind Brady White, plus a 3-star recruit due to report next season.
> Connor Adair – 2019 back-up for Brady White - Pro style QB - 6'4" 191 LB. Trussville HS. Trussville, AL
> Markevion Quinn – Dual Threat QB - 6'3" - 196 lb - from Ruleville Central HS, Ruoeville MS.
Redshirted in 2018 ... Transferred to Memphis after one season at Pearl River Community College ... Has three seasons of eligibility left.
> QB Keilon Brown (6-1, 190) – True freshman recruit, Zachary (Zachary, La.)
247 composite: 3-star, No. 23 dual-threat QB in nation
The final word: Brown threw for over 2,000 yards and ran for over 1,000 yards in each of his last two prep seasons. He had 42 total touchdowns as a junior and 50 more as a senior. He's a dynamic athlete who also plays baseball so he will find a way to add to the competition behind Brady White and perhaps make for an intriguing 2021 quarterback competition.

Tulsa has an established starter in Senior Zach Smith. He was very good last season, but we couldn't protect him well enough. We're going to have a new OL coach, so we'll see how that goes.
Behind him, we have Seth Boomer Returning for his Junior year. Seth came in and performed well to upset UCF.
To fill out the roster we have:
Brandon Marquardt - RS Junior who was named OK's Player of the Year during his senior season. Threw for 4600 yards and 50 touchdowns as a senior.
Davis Brinn- Will be a RS FR as he only saw action in one game last year. He's the guy that we expect to be next in line after Smith and Boomer. 3 Star on Rivals.
Roman Fuller - 6'4" Incoming Freshman. I would expect him to RS.

USF will have at least 5 QBs.
We have last years Stater McCloud and backup Evans who really showed some promise in his few appearances.
Then we are signing two 3 star QBs out of His school one of which lead his team to the state title.
The most exciting is UNC transfer 4 star Cade Fortin who has an absolute cannon of an arm and has some mobility.
Overall USF is in strong shape. I would guess we may end up looking at moving at least one player to a new position since we may sign a 6th QB.

It was not just the numbers. He almost willed a victory with some unorthodox throws and putting the ball into some very small windows.

QB is obviuosly Navy's biggest question mark with Malcolm Perry graduating.
Rising sophomore Perry Olsen cemented himself as Perry's backup and should start Spring ball as the #1. He got some valuable game snaps. He's more in the mold of Worth or Abey so we'll see some different game planning and play calls.
Rising junior Tyger Goslin was close with Olsen early last season.
Rising senior Dalen Morris will be in the mix, too, with experience including game experience.
