Reading the CA this morning and not recalling anything specific on Johnathan, I was wondering what everyone thinks?

I love this comment from Keelon:
“They have to come recruit him. I guess they’re trying to get those fivestars from out of town,” said Keelon"

Or this:
“But you know, Penny is a good guy. I think Penny is probably more focused on keeping that national tide rolling in. Like Johnathan told you, if they came he would consider them. That’s a question you need to ask them.”

Is it worth having this kind of parent knowing the history? If we get any two of Miller, Chandler and Cisse, does Penny even consider an offer? Remarkably telling at this point that this one kid locally has not been offered yet.

Stay away from the Lawsons.. They are TOXIC.

I don't see how there is any compliance issue...

Pennies relationship with the Jonathn is similar to Lomax as far as the duration...Heck Jonathan likely was from Elementary. So yeah no way there is any compliance issues when the relationship goes back to when Penny was a middle school coach.

If there is no one better around you absolutely take him...But that is just me.

If he does or doesn't recruit him Penny would be fully aware what he is getting into so I would have to trust his judgement either way here.

Lawson drama bro.

Penny backed off Chandler basically due to the strong class he had coming in and still tender matters surrounding the family. All the drama with the Lawson’s, however, happened on Tubby’s watch, no matter who was at fault, so move on here, nothing to see.

With Jonathan, it may simply be a matter of need and availability for class of 2021. Jonathan is a slasher type wing or small forward, thus generally a number of those top ranked players in each class.

At this point, appears KS and Vandy are expressing interest and would think that the Tigers staff may have a mild interest as well. Main point may not be Jonathan as the principal problematic issue, it may lie in Penny’s relationship with Mom & Pop Lawson and conversations that they would need to have prior to turning up the recruitment process.

As one of the people who actually knows exactly what happened between the Lawsons and Penny, it is just head scratching to see the idiots who pretend like they know what happened and make stupid statements based off their wrong information. I would love for one day the truth to actually come out and then all the idiots realize what morons they really are.

Playing on a good #11 team, having a decent year for a Freshman at 5 & 4 per game, averaging 20 minutes. Gotta get stronger over the summer to really make an impact.

We would a better team right now if he was on the squad.

Now if Wiseman didn't have any issues he likely wouldn't have been needed much.

So it made complete sense to pass on him.

The coaching staff backed off of Chandler because of his father - told to me by a member of the staff.

Not sure on Jonathan but I would assume the same.
