and Utah, so their schedule was strong.

Need to continue to play good defense and the seniors need get back to being leaders.

If you didn't we'd both be wrong. I put 7 p.m. ESPN+ in the earlier TV weekly thread. As of right now, it's listed as such on the ESPN "Up and Coming" schedule for tonight. Now, with homework done, if the Huskies can just pass the test ...

Ben Vander Plas is the son of Dean Vander Plas who was a significant player on the 90-91 Wisconsin Green Bay team that gave the NCAA bound and Mid Con season champion Huskies 3 of their 6 losses that year. Green Bay won the conference tourney and NIU got the at large bid. That UWGB still gives me nightmares.
Ohio has some pretty good talent but they are young after losing players after their coaching change a couple of years ago.

Fun fast pace game. A lot of threes.

This one not trending the way of the Huskies. NIU just does not have quite enough firepower to keep up with an offense like Ohio

Huskies run into problems when they ask players to do what they are not good at, like Lacey trying to dribble drive to the basket a la German. A big part of that probably is just the lack of offensive options, it takes people out of their comfort zones to force issues. I really believe for NIU to fire on all cylinders, Nathan Scott needs to be in the equation, a very poor man's Levi Bradley, but NIU just has to give defenses something else to think about.

Apparently a complete collapse into first place.

You have to admit all phases were imploding in that 1 to 4 minute mark. This game wont do anything to move NIU up the Kenpom's but help for seeding at least. I give NIU credit though, this felt like a L for sure

It did not feel like a loss it felt like a game they should’ve won easily but missed some front ends of one and ones.
