Running back/athlete but played a lot of wildcat.

CA article

Not very big, only 5'7" 175 but had nearly 1500 all-purpose yards last year.

Unranked? Mississippi doesn't value their state players under six feet.

RE: You can never have too many Gainwells
Kory has incredible speed with a 4.33 and if he gets thru the first line of defenders, forget about it. Very similar in size and speed, (actually faster) to Dexter McCluster.

On defense Kory runs opposing players down and is an amazingly gifted open field tackler. Could play on either side of the ball, but should best be served on offense to be used as a Swiss Army Knife type player, running back, slot receiver, etc. would also be a threat on special teams as kickoff or punt receiver. Kid can fly!

Awesome and thanks for the info! We have had great success with these kinds of players and am glad to see we are still recruiting these flex/all purpose offensive players. They make our offense extremely dynamic.

I’m picturing that breakaway speed at the slot receiver position.

Running back/athlete but played a lot of wildcat.

CA article

Not very big, only 5'7" 175 but had nearly 1500 all-purpose yards last year.

Some discrepancy between the two:

The CA says:
Quote:He had 1,839 all-purpose yards as a junior and 1,461 last season.

The Daily Memphian Says:
Quote:As a high school quarterback, Kenneth Gainwell threw for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also rushing for 1,834 yards and 32 scores his senior year

I would suspect the DM is correct on this one.

Is it legal to have 2 Gainwells on the field?

Seems like cheating.

We could well gain twice as many yards as before.

It looks like the CA is talking about Kory and the DM is talking about Kenny.

04-cheers I'll be sure to cheer twice as hard!

I'd be happy if brother is half as good. Kenny Gainwell is a stud!

Nice.

What could end up happening is Kory gets redshirted and Kenneth has an amazing season and leaves for the draft. So we never get to see it happen.

You're right, I forgot about that. The question there would be where would he fit in?
