We're probably more of a hockey town. Those are fans that can survive losing season. No "just win" baby there, at least not so much. Baseball I think is fairly stable but that's just my limited observation.

Football, basketball.. the jerseys change with the weather and the season. Those sports I think are more fair-weather around here.

Need to see the basis for how they conducted the ratings. Columbus at 153rd is hard to believe. High ticket prices and if only from the Columbus city limits and based only on attendance at games - then I can understand it. Toledo makes sense where it is ranked. Now go out and convince the rest of the state that Toledo is a better town for college football than Columbus.

Study is strongly Pro Football Biased 75 points for pro vs 25 for college.

When looking at mid-sized Cities alone, Toledo is ranked 22nd.

Traffic in and around the surrounding area of Columbus is horrible. I'm sure it's intensified on game days, making it less appealing.

Did anyone look at the criteria used? This was a ridiculous ranking that it looked like some teenager cooked up in their basement. Number of facebook likes? Number of Hall-of-Fame coaches? Number of teams in the city - I mean how many cities have more than 1 D1 college team? And my favorite, number of coaches in the last 10 years - it doesn't say if you get more points for more or fewer coaches. Just silly.

Although, it is good to be ahead of Cbus, & BG I suppose.

Los Angeles (USC and UCLA) and Houston (Houston and Rice) are the only ones I can think of

Does OSU draw from fans in large numbers from within and around Columbus or is their draw more state wide? Does the community and sports fan base in Columbus drive OSU attendance?
