Democrats hate the unborn and only love corruption.

The process of, in effect, excommunicating anti-abortion people from the Democrats’ ranks, and of anti-anti-abortion people from the GOP, began in the 1970s and is now almost complete. It will take another decade or so for people like Joe Manchin and Lisa Murkowski to step off the political stage, but after the people in that generation, there’s really no one left to go against the majority within each of the two major parties.

Maybe in political office, but that is not the case within the parties. Pro-life and Pro-choice are not driven by party.

I somewhat disagree. I think that there is more acceptance of a pro-choice Republican voter (me for instance) than there is of a pro-life Democrat voter (the woman talked down to by Mayor Pete). I do agree that I would never qualify as a candidate for office, but there are lots of other reasons why that's the case.

The Democrat party, with its insistence that everyone pray at the dual alters of identity politics and climate change, have made it near impossible for otherwise slightly left-leaning folks to support their platform. The Republicans have not been anywhere near as strident.

Maybe at the local level but certainly not at the national level. Manchin is the last Dem left and I dont think Dems really care if he were to lose
