This kid missed two extra points in a game and didn't get a touchback either in the game that I saw. Lexington scored roughly 33 points in that game, so he was pretty much 0/5 on kickoffs in touchbacks.

In Riley's first yr, at times the extra point was an adventure, Conner will have the luxury of working with one of our great kickers.and then sit back and relax and watch the TREYS rain down

Kickers almost never leave early.

They get all four years in college to develop without any real threat of injury. Plus the demand for kickers is very low.

He would be a FOOL to leave now.

Stupidest post of 2020 early contender.

So it is ok for a basketball player to quit and go pro for the money. But not right for a kid with high academics to chose a school with a high academic reputation.

BOTH would be doing what is best for them.

Don't act like you have any idea what this kid wants to do.

If he wants to come to Memphis, his ACT score won't be wasted, no matter what you or the resident Auburn fan thinks he should do.

Plus Conner has a yr to learn from one of the best. Known as a win win on the street.
Question is Conner also a punter

He missed an extra point against Ole Piss in the first game then made 65 in a row. He made 23-25 field goals on the season, with one of the misses a 55 yarder against Navy, he was 5-6 over 50 yards, and he made his last 16 in a row. Many of his field goals would have been good from 60 yards.

He can't get any better.

Sure it’s ok for them to choose what they think is best for them. It’s not a good look on our message board for our own fans to not know the great opportunities for exceptional students especial in the largest honors program in the state.

It’s a classic post of a troll.

I hope our new kicker is a good one. I hope we recruited this position nationally and wound up at home.

KICKER U!!!

I'd definitely want to come in as a freshman while there was still a star senior (one that has a good shot at going to league no doubt).

I don't know about the post of a troll, but the post of an uninformed idiot, quite likely.

First, Memphis is now in the Top 150, as far as education. However, if he has ANY desire to play professionally as a kicker, which university gives him a better chance. And before you even pretend to consider it, try and say that Jake, Riley or even Stephen didn't get RADICALLY better while they were at Memphis. Not every... hell, not most schools can come close to claiming that.

Stephen was playing baseball
Jake tennis
Yes the improved quite a bit
Riley came in as a kicker, could be the best of all
Personally I think kicking in the liberty bowl develops them because of the weather conditions
They have to deal with heat, humidity, cold, rain and the main component the wind from the River.
Conner will be preparing for Sunday's on day one and he must Bust the Trey Ball

HEYYY, Rhodes College is going to resent that. lol.

Ha--- you are correct tigerlands. Probably knew academics were too hard at Rhodes and besides, would probably get lost trying to find it.

Can't bash Sewanee-- one of the best orthopedics at Campbell's is a grad -- a great guys and excellent surgeon! Bet he is probably DJ's doc.
