USM gets a 9-0 run rule no hitter to beat Southern University to improve to 4-1. All 4 wins have been run rules but all 4 were against weak competition. The lone loss we gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to lose against a weak Saint Louis team we had beaten the day before.

McNeese State is 4-1, after they split a pair of games against North Texas this past weekend & beat Texas A&M last night 1-0.

In game 2 of 5, UTSA L 12-1 to Wichita State.

UAB went 1-1 on Friday. Beat South Dakota State 6-0, then lost 2-1 to TAMU-CC, giving them their first win of the year.

If not for that fold against St. Louis in the last inning at home, I would have been more optimistic for this year for my team. Simply can’t lose at home to a weakling like St. Louis

North Texas needed 7 innings to beat Creighton last night.

In game 3 of 5 UTSA wins over Saint Louis 7 - 6. Game 4 is next.

In game 4 of 5 UTSA wins over Wichita State 2 - 0.

Finale tomorrow (2-2) is at 10 a.m. against Saint Louis.

UAB beat La Monroe yesterday, lost to McNeese 4-3 last night, and beat McNeese 2-0 today. UAB is now 8-3 on the year, with all 3 losses by 1 run.

WKU beats Bowling Green 2-0 today. Now 8-2.

If UNT can steal a road win at #4 Texas tonight, it will go a long way towards earning a spot in the top 25. Texas is 10-0 with wins over 3 top 25 programs last week. The game is currently underway.
