MM was the scout of last night's game.

MM did not look too interested from the start.

MM could be the weakest link on the staff.

I doubt he'll be back next year.

RE: Mike Miller
They knew that the Zone Defense was coming. Penny mentioned that Tulsa played a very tough Zone Defense in pre-game interviews.

The problem is that we could not execute against the zone. Too undisciplined, too much streetball, too much NBA-style one-on-one mentality.

Penny does need an assistant coach who can help with designing an effective offensive system and x's and o's though.

He looked frustrated to me. I don't think his scouting was applied. JMHO. Would frustrate me to put in that kind of work and it all be for nothing.

A couple of our first few possessions, we penetrated their zone and got Precious some good looks. Tulsa crowded the lane, and we couldn't hit shots to loosen them back up.

Mike looked like he always does as did Penny.

There is a pretty simple answer for the problem this team is in. Penny knows that answer... what I don't know is if he can get the team to believe in the answer.

But I'll be watching...

Mike Miller gonna get us Jaylon Green. That’s why he’s on staff. To recruit.

If the players weren't executing, why not use your timeouts?

MM was also the lead recruiter on Precious, Lester, and Boogie

MM is also the lead recruiter on Jalen Green and Greg Brown

MM is also the hottest name in CBB Coaching circles among assistants

We lose MM for next season, we very likely lose Green and Brown

Be careful what you wish for...

Good question. And when I first noticed Penny's frustration with (what appeared to be) execution, I told my buddies that I'd sub everyone out. I'd get their attention.

Call TO. Rip ***. Sub everyone out. See if group #2 carries out gameplan.

Did Penny decide to course correct for the reason vs course correcting for the game? Did he decide the game was a loss, but we can get a bigger message across using the loss. I do not know. It was hard to be a fan last night. It was even harder to be the coach on the sidelines. I promise you that.

Uh...were did you see that? He was the scout for Cincy and they usually alternate every game.

Mike Miller has proven to be a great game scout and game planner. How anyone can single him out and blame him for this loss is beyond me. It was a team loss, plain and simple. To blame one coach or one player or one play is ridiculous.

RE: Mike Miller
If teams continue to play zone defense and we do not hit 3's then we will continue to lose. Hit the 3's and it will widen up the middle so passes can be made on the inside.

The Bigs need to focus on getting offensive rebounds so that we can get a 2nd chance 3 pointer.

So its Millers fault we have a collection of guards that cannot make open shots?

Nice attempted deflection.

I know you guys can’t get it, but the only thing that is going to help this team is experience. No coaching in the world can keep guys from throwing careless passes and missing open shots and free throws. I know you guys don’t believe it but this will be a much better team in another month. Now go ahead and bash the heII out of this post.
