Florida NIU functions this month
NIU Alumni function at Mattisons 41 in Sarasota at 11am Saturday. Who all is going?

One of three in Florida this month. It's been about ten years since I remember this happening; I look at this as a huge positive move.

GO HUSKIES!

Three hours away from me and no football or basketball game in the area... If they were balling I would be there.

I don't see anything about this on the Alumni website. Anything on the east coast or further south?

I couldn't find anything on the website either, but did get the official confirmation from Dana King. Unfortunately it says that it is business attire...I was hoping for more of a tailgate feeling.

I'm just wearing an NIU polo. This is an NIU Foundation event. I'll try to get more info.

My "problem" is that I have lost 80 lbs so all of my NIU polos are 4 sizes too big and I had bad luck with Amazon so I am waiting until I head back to Illinois this summer to restock.

Apparently this wasn't sent to everyone, but Dana seems amenable to ticket requests from this group.

Other dates: Friday 5:30 Bonita Bay Club Bonita Springs

Sunday 3:30 Del Friscos Orlando

Thank you. I may try to make the Orlando one. Sounds like they want a weekend in Florida to thaw out.

And it's confirmed that the Sarasota function has moved from Mattisons on Main to Mattisons 41 this Saturday.

Do the ticket requests quickly, there were only a couple spots left.

Congratulations with your "problem." As someone who is also ltrting to downsize, I realize how hard this can be.

Shout out to sarasotahuskie, I wouldn't have known about this event and was happy I went! My wife and I really enjoyed it. We were the youngest graduation dates by a couple of decades (I beleive, I didn't meet everyone), which is hopefully just a function of Sarasota and not the alumni as a whole.

I wear it often, and have a 3'x5' flag on the front of my house, although all of the people on my block are retired from Illinois 03-lmfao

I also have my front license plate with a Huskie head and now my license plate bracket thanks to this event!

We must have met Cosine. My name is Jim and I was sitting at the President's table wearing a black NIU polo.
