44-36 UNT at the half. Crisler with 11 and 4. Good to see him growing as the season goes on. Defense has been poor. Mix of good shotmaking and breakdowns.

50-36 UNT after two (deep) threes to start the second half.

54-41 UNT. Refs are determined to not blow their whistles tonight. Offensive execution is bad.

65-53. Defense has actually been much improved in the second half but the offense is getting smothered.

79-59 final. 20 points is probably a bit harsh but UNT was much better. This can't be an acceptable style of play and it can't be an acceptable result.

I thin my initial concerns that we would really miss QMB were correct. Even putting that aside, this team is grossly underperforming.

The team is clearly under-performing during conference play. I am surprised. I had no idea how much Robert Martin meant in terms of leadership and production but it is evident now. I hope the team is not getting discouraged and can fight through this challenge.

Rice finished last season at 248 in Pomeroy; right now they're at 226.

At this rate of "improvement", Rice will break into the top 100 during the 2025-26 season. Freshmen on that team are 12 or 13 right now.

I mean if we could be a consistent top 100 team in 5 years, I would take it. Wouldn't you?

But it's not clear that we can trust the 2-year trendline, or where we'll even end up end-of-year
