RE: 2021 Official Recruiting Thread
I'm curious to see if any of the IL kids will enroll early thereby forgoing a chance at possibly playing their senior season. Walking into a college program without having so much as a practice in nearly 18 months would be major culture shock I think. At the same time it would be hard if presented the opportunity to say no when there isnt even a guarantee that a football season will happen in the spring.

Want to see starters get beat out we need better, feel same away about many positions. DE,CB, MLB, S,CB,WR There is room for better.

Consider what this offense is trying to do though, they want to be explosive. Waylee is.

The offense at least has a theory of what they are trying to do, if you can’t take it to the house every time you touch the ball you aren’t going to get a lot of run here.

The defense has no philosophy...and that’s concerning.

Waylee is a playmaker. I like him at RB. I want 20 touches a game either running or receiving. He also moves pile. Remember Garrett Wolfe not real big

Waylee had 3 straight games of over 20 carries. Last 2 over 100 yards. He appears to be able to carry the mail. I like the kid.

I’m Gonna sound like a Waylee hater, and I’m not, I think he can be good to very good. But what’s his longest run? He is the fastest guy whenever he’s on the field but where is that showing up? Also, can you recall one, just one run of his, where you were really impressed? He really reminds me of Nettles 2.0. Nettles has big time track speed as well. And he was decent to good. But I didn’t want him as our #1.
I'm stunned as Nettles wasn't as good as Waylee.

Nettles was either hurt or didn't follow his blockers. He was fast but too often failed to pick up needed yardage and the team was in 3rd and long. He had talent but too often didn't show up in football down and distance.

Waylee for a freshman surprised me. Held onto the football and past everyone on the depth chart. He has vision and speed. I'm looking forward to him in 2021.

I'm not sold on his vision, just MYO. Saturday felt he left obvious years on the field. Again just MYO. Fletcher is the QB our OC is used to working with, a QB that can run, I believe he will be able to toss it as well. Hams with his Baltimore connections will look for a QB package that can run. Baltimore had some unique runs with Lamar last night based on concepts not just his speed. Our O will roll in 21.

Dont forget, Hammock was in Baltimore for several years before Lamar Jackson. So he has a lot of experience with offenses designed for the only QB run to be when "slowest man alive" Joe Flacco ran onto the field with his teammates before the game.

Josh kreutz, Olin’s son would be nice. You’d have to think he was committed there due in large part to his relationship with Lovie. Probably a pipe dream but id take it.

Sadly, Kreutz signed with Illness today.

I caught some games but wasn’t waylee the back who kept coughing up the football? If he’s a slot guy like what has been said, I’d like to see him there more and ducker with Georgia back, getting most of carries.

He got better as the seas progressed as most freshman do. He definitely had butter fingers at the beginning of the season, but that was an issue with all of our running backs. Not just Waylee.

I would argue it was jitters. He was fine at the end of the year. Collins however...his fumbles worry me.

He was. Got scooped up by Iowa last second. They love our players.

I really don't think we have that page setup yet. Let alone 2022.

Usually start that thread as soon as 2022 signing day ends. Merged the Verbal/Recruiting thread this year as people seemed to be always have the same conversation in separate threads.
